I know the Tribal Lock was a Tony Bose design but I like the blade on the Copperlock better. Maybe if the two were left in a hotel room with a bottle of champagne and had a baby tribal lock with a clip blade.
I wonder why Case never made a Mini Tribal Lock? It would have been a great companion piece to the fancier Sod Buster Jrs. I agree with you about the Pocket Worn. It's my favorite with the Sawcut jig ass my second favorite. Love the Saw Cut.

Hello Pete. Personaly I prefer spear points over clip points but not having tried a Case knife of any sort I have no opinion over which is better. All the best.
I like the looks of the Tribal lock. I don’t have one, so I have to choose the copperlock. I would have grabbed that dating system knife but I didn’t have the money at that time. It’s always money, right? They are both beautiful knives and I like the drop point but the copper bolster does it for me. Thanks for showing both of them!
Me personally, I like the tribal lock better. It just seems that the fit & finish on the Tony Bose patterns is usually somewhat better than the normal patterns. It may not be the case, but it seems to me that the tribal lock has better fit and finish. Plus, I love the Zulu spear blade along with the gradual curve that goes from the end cap to the tip of the blade. It's just beautiful. They are both very sweet knives. It's just my humble opinion. I really like them both but if I had to pick one I’d take the Copperlock. But the orange tribal is cool 😎! I have a jigged bone Tribal but I like synthetics, too. I have a yellow large Copperlock. The orange Tribal would look good next to it!
I can’t decide on a favorite. I like both patterns. The one I really covet was made in 2017 I think. That would be a GEC Northfield #72 Cody Scout lockback with African Blackwood covers, cloud shield , satin blade , Northfield etch. Or a #77 Washington Jack would do in a pinch. Lol. Agreed! I love the clip point on the Copperlock, however my Tribal lock blade stock is just a little thicker. (.09 vs .11) I sort of wish the tribal lock blade was the same thickness as the tribal lock blade.
I like both. If I hadn’t seen the copper lock first, I’d have been happy with the tribal lock. But… Aesthetically for me the copper locks the one, and that’s my fav blade style! Great video as always 😁

Two of my favorites, been collecting both since they came out. Copperlock designed by Tom Hart, Tribalock byTony Bose, great EDCs, both fit into pocket so easy! Great video!
I like them both for all the reasons you mentioned. However the Tribal lock I have has a pocket clip that makes carrying a 4" knife easier than not having a clip or using a belt sheath. Beautiful collection Pete all around.

Both great knives, I have a smooth bone tribal lock that looks just like yours and just bought my first copperlock but is the smaller size but I lean more to the tribal blade but would prefer a longer nail nick like the Copperlock I will be looking for a full size Copperlock
I almost picked up a tribal lock last year at SMKW when we were on vacation. I regret not getting it. It’s already been in my list to get this year. I hope the still have one in the store this year when we go. Beautiful knives Pete! Be safe.
Yes Dean I would definitely get one and even better if you can hand pick one check for blade rock centering gaps too lol but if you get a good one you have a companion for life!!!!!
Both are great. Like you I give the edge to the copperlock. Closing in on 2K is awesome and well deserved. Keep after it. Hopefully you won't need to hay bailing equipment to get through the lawn.

Just keep hunting you’ll find something but there bad ass hopefully you get one with good fit and finish I’m telling you they come with rock lock and fucked up centering but that’s the gamble with case knives😊be careful out there
I used to look down on synthetic covers when I was young but I love 'em these days. When I see yellow Delrin it automatically takes me back to every hardware store when I was a kid. The little knife displays always had some yellow Delrin or other bright colored knives among the stag and it always jumped out. Bit of nostalgia for me.
That's not an easy question Pete. Well the question is, but the answer isn't. In the end i think, forced to choose with a knife on my throat, i like the copperlock the most. Just an awesome bolster to protect your finger and that nice clippoint blade. But the tribal lock has that nice droppoint blade, so close call. Thank you buddy.

I like the way the copper lock’s bolster doubles as a small guard better than the tribal lock…..I have one of those ford tape measures also I use to carry it for years when I was in the plumbing field…..Now I just do plumbing repairs at UVU…..one less thing in my pocket,but still what a coincidence.

I have both, for me the Copperlock wins this one for 1 the looks, I just think the Copper is more classic looking and 2 you can get two blade options with the Copperlock. The tribal is a great piece, but for me the Copperlock wins this one

How deep does the tip sit in the handle when closed on the tribal lock? Thats a big deal to me, i dont like when you get 20 sharpenings in and the tip peaks out when closed.
