    I can tell you are not they type to want to be in front of the camera. I think you are doing an outstanding job working through it. It isn’t bad at all so in time, it’ll only get better. Great videos brother.

    I wonder how Matt is going to take the lack of coverage along the bottom/front edge of the panel that's above the bumper cover at 12:34....

    Nice. This is where the real knowledge is at. Had a quick ? Was there a reason why the gt500 was sent to OG store first. Noticed you went there to do the correction why not just have had the car sent to your shop ?

      The car belongs to a client of Matt, who wanted him to orchestrate having everything done. It’s good content for Matt to have and we enjoy the field trip up to OGHQ. 😎

    Cooles Video !

    At the end of the video, when he's wrapping the mirrors, I see there has to be multiple pieces applied to get the fit. Trying to stretch one piece and getting it to lay just doesn't work on the intricate areas. This was a good video.

    Just curious, what's the point of 'back rolling" to keep it from it being exposed to air, but you proceed to lift it a couple of feet off of the vehicle?

    • @PresidentialDetailing
      @PresidentialDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just risk management, the film can’t be laid on and never lifted at all. You have to keep applying the slip solution in order to move the film around. The point he was making was that you want to minimize the exposure to air as much as possible.

  • @liammcgrath6184
    @liammcgrath6184 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What liquid do you use to slip the film around on and then squeegee it out ?

    Why are the headlights not removed. Why did the left fender stop short of covering the point. Why does the razor blade ride on the light assembly.....

    • @timkinley1779

      Watch the video. Covered during the first few minutes.

    • @PresidentialDetailing
      @PresidentialDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We spoke about this in the video. Every professional install is going to have some amount of cutting. The point we tried to make is that you want to make that as minimal as possible. You also want that person to be very experienced. I personally wouldn’t dare touch a blade to a car myself.

    • @bertraminc9412
      @bertraminc9412 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tim kinley I’m not really interested in the excuses. Those are rhetorical questions. Putting a razor blade against a 250k car component should never be accepted. The excuses show it’s just lazy because of volume and revenue.

      Ryan is a legend LOL

    • @fpswick8458
      @fpswick8458 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt from OG wanted to try it for its gloss and clarity. (I believe)

    • @PresidentialDetailing
      @PresidentialDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We used the STEK film by the request of Matt and we have been wanting to try it out for some time now. The guys really like it.
      Some cutting is always required. Ryan uses a lot of custom templates to minimize this, but it is necessary to trim on every job. This is the reason it is important to find a true professional that has many years of experience if possible.

    I heard installing any film to the headlights for Porsche 911 models is very risky, because when removing the film there is a high chance of the entire headlight shattering.

    • @PresidentialDetailing
      @PresidentialDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is true, however it won’t shatter, it just has the risk of pulling the uv coat off aka delaminating. If you watch the first video of this series, Matt actually pulls film off the headlights of this very car. It is a risk, but your other option is to have your headlights permanently destroyed and peppered with rock chips. With the film, your headlights will remain perfect and if by chance it pulls the clearcoat, you can easily have them recleared, rather than spending $7k on new headlights from Porsche.

  • @jl7676
    @jl7676 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video showing the wrap work. BUT... I would've preferred to have the headlights removed so he doesn't have to put a knife near the paint and also you always end up cutting crooked which he clearly did th-cam.com/video/Weu-3g1ZQtQ/w-d-xo.html (right at 12:30 mark at the top left of the headlights. I think you noticed too and panned away quick. I'm sure he's good overall, but doing it like that just invites screwups.
