I know it's not recommended but using an android phone and ultimate usb you can install everything for the PS3 via usb. Recently installed evilnat 4.91 cex beta 9 this way and works like a dream
I made some notes on how to do it if anyone's interested: The FAT32 file system has a file size limit of 4 GB. So if you want to transfer PS2/PS3 games bigger than that and you don't want to use FTP you'll have to use an NTFS formatted drive. You can access NTFS formatted drives like so: 1. Format a drive with an MBR partition scheme to NTFS. This does not work with GPT and I could not get exFAT to work. 2. Open *mmCM* under the *Game* section of the XMB. 3. When it loads, go all the way to the left menu item titled *mmCM*. 4. Scroll down to *Switch to multiMAN mode* and select it. *mmCM* will reload. 5. In the same *mmCM* menu section open the file manager. 6. Click the face icon in the bottom-left and select *PFS Driver*. *mmCM* will reload. 7. Open a file manager window by selecting *PS3 Root* for example. 8. You will have two *pvd* entries, *pvd.usb000* is your NTFS drive. You can now copy/paste stuff from there on to the system.
Just wanted to update, but a way i found to be able to get around the 4gb issue via flash drive, extract the game iso from the compressed file, compress it back into a .zip file, it decreases the file size by atleast half, and the new ps3 cfw 4.91 evilnet is able to extract zip files as long as you extract to the harddrive
Do you have a tutorial on how to install ps3 game thats a game folder through filezilla (not an iso. Or a pkg.) And how to do it cause it seems they removed everything to do with istalling the games folder and what to do
You don’t need rap files anymore on any pkgs you activate after you the PS3 with Apollo. The system thinks you buy the game, but again, only on games you install AFTER activating with apollo.
Not true! You need to boot up each game you install once so the RAP file relicenses the content. Once successfully relicensed, the RAP files can be deleted.
Strange...when i want to copy my rap files to he hard drive i can't find an exdata folder on there. Should i create one? I got the latest version of managunz like you said. I made an exdata folder en copied the rap files there and installed the pkg files. The games appear on thr front but when i want to launch them it days i need to renew the licence in the ps store. Guess making your own exdata folder doesn't work?!?
You'd need to be on a firmware that allows for on-the-fly relicensing, such as Evilnat CFW or the latest PS3HEN. Then you'd need to PSN activate your console.
@@MrMario2011 that did the trick, the games boot now. Unfortunately it says "copyrigh protection information is invalid". This means the rap files are out of date?!?
Hi Mario, can we decrypt ps3 isos with managunz? I am having a hard time with the decryption. I am on ps3 hen with a slim console, i used my disc to dump games and they say encrypted iso… Can u please clarify if managunz can solve that issue? And thank you for your amazing guides.
@MrMario2011 I was installing pkg and now my psn logo are red like cfw but I'm on hen and the pkg manger is showing bit can't seen install from roof of usb
So finally we don't have to deal with 4GB limitations. It's not a very pleasant method to install big PKGs
Still have to deal with them, there's just workarounds.
@@MrMario2011 true, but man creating a pkg inside and iso then put in NTSC HDD then mount it to have pkg installed....is a pain
It’s so funny! I was trying to find your most recent video for this last night. Load & behold you upload a newer way to do it! 😭
Hope you enjoy it!
Irishman also does the same thing. The only difference is that Irishman does not show remaining time.
Good timing.
@@MrMario2011 kudus for the good work. I've been a fan of yours for years.

Hell yeah
how that's work?
Is it trought OTG to Usb converter ?
@@AlfalfaAccess yeah or get a type c memory stick. Plug it in, get ultimate usb and your on your way :)
great video mr mario, maybe you could consider bringing a tutorial about resign ps3 saves,i haven't found an efficient way to do this yet.
Thank you very very much im learning allot from your videos i appreciate it
You're welcome!
I have a ps3 fat v4.91.2 evilnat
I want to install games on it that do not need an Internet connection, how is that possible?
Bast video I came across Thank you very much!
Glad it was helpful!
You can use NTFS with mmCM already, but this is cool.

NTFS support on multiMAN was always spotty or at best not as straightforward as other solutions such as what was shown here.
@@MrMario2011 Oh, absolutely. It's a pain and this way looks easier. Plus you can do exFAT so you can use the same drive you use for a modded PS4.
great video as always
I hope one day they make it where we can play 4gb+ ps2 games from a usb or split them to load🙏🏽
I doubt that will ever happen with how the PS2 emulator works.

do you have a video talking about the essential apps for a cfw ps3? i know multiman, webman and managunz may be there, but what are the others?
Man keep doing 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I just did like the tutorial said and it just worked with the first try

@@MrMario2011 for real it just worked I had PS3 Slim and installed RDR1 😅
Is ManaGunz better than Webman and Multiman for pkg transfer?

how do you do iso files because i tried putting it in PS3ISO folder but it didn’t show up in packet manager to install
That's not a package.
IrisMan and WebMan MOD is all you need. I use FAT and NTFS drives with my PS3.

I transferred rap files but it’s stuck loading in “gathering data”
What are my packages (actual game) not named correctly? It's just a load of upper and lower case letters. Help me please!!!
You tell me what they are?
Irisman has been able to do this for about 10 years
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
Sir, who cares about some man from Ireland ? Mario is the one !
Very cool ^^❤
Does this work with iso games also? I will try this soon

Yep
Can this works for 4.91 Firmware ?
