I am very proud of your esteemed Black smithy works. Your INSTRUCTIONS is very nice. Our Traditional Black smithy works is very essential to any fields. Thank you. 🙏🙏🙏
Great content and as someone who's just started out blacksmithing in my back yard and is learning everything from scratch at 50 years old these TH-cam posts have been invaluable to me and there such a great resource of ideas and information. It helps that I've been around tools and that I've worked with my hands most of my life so given the basics I can normally work things out but these TH-cam posts are a great resource and I'm greatful and appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge.👍✌️
Noticed some comment on the length of videos. I take longer to show some things more than others and often looks back when I return to soak up more information. Sir you are a very good teacher and I enjoyed all your help you do.I do enjoy seeing the how to about the horse shoe but don't watch all but enjoy seeing about what is done
The work on the horns I think was spot on. From hunting experience I can say that no horn is identical to the other on any animal. A splendid job on the entire piece.
Hey Gary, I really like your channel and videos. I like the Rams head . You make look easy. I like to see more of this and the dog heads too. Thanks for sharing your videos and channel with us. Keep'em coming I will be watching alot.
Gary I finally got one to come out that is presentable. I missed your comments on the lower jaw and kept missing that lower shape. Made the head look to square. I think I learned as much making the eye punch as I did the head itself. Thanks again for a great learning experience. Bill
Nice job mate. I have used this same general pattern, without the horns, to make mallard duck heads for my hunting friends. I have done the same with making the horse head, making the horns much shorter and turning them into ears. My detail work requires much more practice. I see where the gas torch helps with placing heat in just the right places. Thanks for the tutorial!!!! Trey
Exelente trabajo mi respetos, un gran herrero. Gracias por compartir ese arte, se le agradece y pues aki aprendiendo mucho... desde tijuana mexico!!👍🏻🤠🙏🏻
Nice job! Good to see you gave a gentle warning about opposite twists on the horns. I've ruined a couple because I wasn't paying attention to that! And yes, you have to get those eyes level too!
This is why I watch your channel. Simple, to the point, executed well. So many "famous " folks from Forged in Fire that go on, an on , about useless crap...fame goes to their head. Not you. Just good beans. 👍
watched every step. You do a good job of making it seem so simple yet you explain everything enough that someone like me who is looking into doing things like this would understand just what they were getting into. Turned out great in my opinion.
Great job Gary! I've been wanting to make one for a long time and I think now I will. I'm not as good at blacksmithing as you are, but if it turns out maybe I'll share it on my channel. Then again maybe not... "If you make something ugly out of steel, It will be ugly for a long time"... Jerry Culberson.
Awesome stuff. You should be proud. Most of us watching this are amazed and not capable of such skill. Hell I don't even have a forge! :) I think it would make a wonderful handle for a fire poker.
gone the distance???? i almost yelled out loud YES!! when i saw you posted a half hour video! i think it was a very good "attempt" even though its waaaay better than most could do.and certainly appreciate your time
dude! just wow. Your friend did a good job there. I stumbled across this after searching for pointers on starting up working with metal. watching the rest now ;)
Nice one! Your magic forging potion seems to be Fanta, its like in nearly all your videos ive seen :-D I`ll try it, maybe it gives me super forging powers too! Forge on, and best greetings from Germany, to a very skilled craftsman.
Beyond the fact that you have years of experience, a ton of talent and an eye for detail, I want you to know that the quality of your videos is remarkable in an era of shaky, out of focus, redundant filming and loud background noises. You explain the reasons for your choices and describe what you are thinking about, all of which we the viewer need so we understand you intent and the finer details of smithing. Also you take the time to set-up close shots so we can really see what we need to not just some guy wailing on a hunk of iron. And lastly you edit out the repetitive parts so your videos don't get boring to the point where one would stop watching. Thank-you for teaching us so much. Chuck Whisler, Nebraska USA
Very cool. I really want to get into smithing as a hobby - Subed! It may already have been answered, but most digital camera sensors are more sensitive to infra-red light, and can see glowing hot things much better than the human eye. I've noticed that it's a common thing on other videos, and I'm not actually sure if there is any way to represent the true colors using a camera.
Nice job. I was shown how to make one of those today at a forge experience day, came out pretty well but nowhere near your level of detail, now i have something to aim for!
Good evening Gary! Is it possible for a normal mortal to buy a ram head for a very old umbrella? I like the Aries handle very well and it is my Zodiac star sign - also in this heavy version also my protector! Greetings from Austria Adolf

You’re welcome 😉
The differences in making it is what makes it unique, it does not have to perfect! Great job Gary.
Even after all these years Gary I still watch this amazing lesson. It's Simply BRILLIANT Thanks for sharing your skill with us
Hello Gary! Thanks for sharing.
That was just Awesome.

Thanks Gary. I'll be sure to give it a go. Done many twists for projects inspired by your tutorials.

Thanks for continuing to make these great videos, Gary. They help me a great deal.
The work on the horns I think was spot on. From hunting experience I can say that no horn is identical to the other on any animal. A splendid job on the entire piece.
Hats Off

Watched it all and wasn't bored a bit! You put together a very nice & informative video.
Much thanks for this!

Love the instructional videos...motivating instead of mind numbing! keep it up and thanks!
Looks good. I just taper the horns together, then split. So much easier and faster.
I like the one your friend made as I believe it looks the best.
Nice job! Good to see you gave a gentle warning about opposite twists on the horns. I've ruined a couple because I wasn't paying attention to that! And yes, you have to get those eyes level too!
High skills for a very good result. This could also be the same start for a dragon head. Thanks for sharing
Hi Gary,
Love watching you work, and the explanation in the voice-over, makes all the difference, thank you for the upload.
This is why I watch your channel. Simple, to the point, executed well.
So many "famous " folks from Forged in Fire that go on, an on , about useless crap...fame goes to their head.
Not you. Just good beans. 👍

The drink of choice!
hey gary, could it be possible you can make a video about damascus steel, and what usefulness and disvantages it provides for a person or object?
Nice job. I was shown how to make one of those today at a forge experience day, came out pretty well but nowhere near your level of detail, now i have something to aim for!
Practice and it will come.
This would be neat to have as a gear shifter handle.
Go for it! Post your results, I love to see other peoples work....
Love this video, we have seen it more then once, could you please try a Unicorn, or a ufo....Thanks Olivia.
A UFO! WTF! A unicorn is exactly the same as this with out splitting the horns!

FYI Rams horns are rarely the same length on both sides....so it's still good.
would be nice in my ram GRAB LIFE BY THE HORNS!
