The stuff from Menards was quite a surprise for me. Love the F unit they have going on, and im so hapoy they finally have turnouts available. Quite cool!
Totally agree!
Those PRR F-Units are good looking engines, no doubt! However I STILL wish Menards would put a conventional control option switch on their enignes as a "just in case" feature. But then I'm the only one who seems to be concerned about it so what do I know?
And Winchester trailers on flat cars? Now THAT'S unusual, to say the least! Cool!
Thanks for posting Mike!
Thanks for watching!
I ordered a pair of Pennsylvania I want to thank you for showing how to operate Menards engines with other Lionel engines using standard transformer control
I'm glad it was helpful!
Yesterday I got an email that Menards added new track. They're now offering 072 switches, 5" track with or without lighted bumpers and fastrack transition pieces.
Yes. I received the email about an hour after I finished this video.
They have made the Fastrack transition pieces for some time now.
huh, I wonder if they're gonna do 0-36 switches.
@@iron1349 Time will tell.
Try to get them to make 0-27 track and switches too. Also O-42 track and switches.
OUTSTANDING VIDEO. Menards is really stepping up their games They just came out with tubular track switches and lighted track bumpers which look awesome. I am excited because their quality is getting better and their items are more affordable.🔥🔥🔥🙏👍!!! Those Pennsylvania Engines and Rolling Stock look AWESOME 👍👍👍🔥
Yes they are!
Cool. The PRR boxcar is nice. AMT made some great locomotives and cars. Their boxcars were close to scale and forced Lionel to up their game and come out with the 6464-series boxcars, although they were still somewhat smaller than the AMT cars, but were excellent. The switches seem interesting. A nice price on all of the Menard''s stuff, for sure. A fine video, as always.
Thanks!
Wow Menards is now really starting to get into the new painted engines and cars, Looks amazing! I have tried to find the caboose but they always sell out
They sell quickly!
Just placed my order for the f unit. I’ve been waiting for them to do Pennsy for a long time lol. Looking forward to get it.
If they do Western Maryland I will be in trouble!
Pennsylvania was nice for These units. I wonder if they’ll do Penn Central sometimes?
I doubt it. PC reminds people of mismanagement and bankruptcy. PRR and NYC are far more popular.
I am quite pleased with Menards. I think that they are trying to follow the lead of Jim Hill, and they certainly seem to be succeeding!
I will not be purchasing their turnouts, however. It is a very simple reason as to why. I have found a way to make a turnout for eight dollars, some screws, and a piece of scrap plywood (or just the layout surface). And string. I'll need string. It's a manual turnout, but I think that I'll stick with that rather than up the price to $60 for a solenoid and a switch! I will need the bumpers, though.
Oh, and although the Pennsy had FP7s, 9297 was a FM H10-44 switcher.
Oh, and the Menards FP7 does run on O27.
I don't believe the fuel tank clears O27 turnouts.
@@ToyTrainTipsAndTricks That I wouldn't know about. All I know is that the drive system doesn't get tied up into knots when it goes on an O27 curve. I ought to check, but my layout recently suffered an avalanche and hence I can't.
Do you know what happened to the Menards transfer Hopper that lit up I’m still waiting for it to come out? Thanks
If you mean the 2 bay covered hopper with the lights, they sold out almost immediately.
@@ToyTrainTipsAndTricks oh I thought it would be coming back like I got to reorder something. Well if you remember it's okay if you don't let me know if you hear about coming back out again or anything that lights up. Disney steam train just because the hopper lights up. Happy 4th
Hi
I'm your biggest fan :3

Dr Vinny. But really he doesn’t have any other characters but dr Vinny. And himself. I like it but 2024 will be a tight year on $$
Menards rebate program is quite unfair since you can only use it in store. If you don't live near a Menards store it's somewhat of a scam. I don't know why it can't go on your account to be used when you buy mail order. If you buy from Chewy Pet Food you see it can be done that way.
I have most of the caboose menards offer
