Baby You’re a Rich Man is worth a listen in mono. It was recorded and mixed in a single session at Olympic studios and released that way as the B-side to All You Need is Love. When they came to mix it for stereo in 1969, Abbey Road engineers were unable to replicate a certain ‘spin echo’ effect the guys at Olympic had got.. making this mix unique.
I bought this a couple of months ago. I was very careful about getting a genuine one and had been looking for quite a while. There are a hell of a lot of fake copies out there. I think the main thing about this mono set is they were made using the original notes and consequently are the closest thing to the original records available. Back in the sixties the cuts were far more dynamic and this is particularly noticeable on the Mono Masters double CD. Ideally I would like to have the vinyl set but they are far rarer and far more expensive.
I just received the Beatles red and blue cd 💿 albums I grew up in the 70’s I’m going back to the late 60’s early 70’s classic rock 🪨 music 🎶 I’ve heard the Beatles songs before in the 70’s this is crazy 🤪 for me I even listen 🎧 too the doors 🚪 cd 💿 and Jimmy Hendrix
I scratch my head sometime thinking all this stuff is over 60 years old and there making fortunes out of a baby boomer group still 😂 no wonder old man river McCartney is now a billionaire

I was surprised that they did not create the replica sleeves for the 2014 mono vinyl box set
@@alexandermacdonald7547 I assumed they did, odd that they didn't considering how much of a premium box that set was.
Man, the attention to detail given to these albums translate from vinyl record to CD very well!
Yes they do indeed!
That barcode sticker makes me think that was a library set.
It may very well have been.
