Thank you for putting together such an informative video! I just earned my PMP and am now focusing on earning my Green Belt. I started looking at the CQE a few months ago and had an idea formulating in my head about getting it after my Green Belt. After watching your video, I think I am on the right track. I will definitely utilize your websites and videos as I study for these certifications.
Looking at ASQ's chart of certifications, I don't see CQE and Green Belt as being on the same level. The Green Belt is considered "intermediate level" versus CQE which is considered "professional or advanced level" hence requiring 8 years of experience and more depth of knowledge. A more appropriate certification to compare to or compliment Green Belt would be the CQT or CQI which are "intermediate level". CQE or CRE and such would compare to or compliment Black Belt.
great info and presentation, very well summarized! thanks, as an engineer with couple years experience in manufacturing and a masters I was confused as to whether to go for the Green Belt or CQE. I have decided to take the Green Belt first.
Great question! This is absolutely a video I need to make in the future, and it's on my to-do list! The short answer is, it all depends on your career goals!
Excellent and very informative video. I am CQE and now I would like to get the green belt to be prepared a bit more in the project management area. Do you think is that a good idea?
Yes, I think that’s a great idea!! To be honest, you might want to go straight to black belt. The math is equally as difficult as CQE, and the certification isn’t to difficult relative to CQE.
@@greenbeltacademy I was a little worried if I qualified for the green belt requirements. I’m coming from a 6 year military background of loosely related work as an electronic technician, but I’ve only been a Quality Engineer as a civilian for a year. Do you think ASQ would consider me eligible for Green?
I'm an quality engineer with about 8 years experience and never took any of ASQ examination I'm planning to take CQE or CQPA but I don't know which one should I choose .... some of my friends told me to take CQE because it cover all the aspects in CQPA but 1. I don't want to miss anything on the other hand 2. I don't want to waste my time and money on taking certificates that can be in only one or two. 3. I don't want to fail in exam because I started in the difficult one Please advice me Thanks
Great question, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness on the subject. To be honest, with someone like yourself who has 8 years of experience, I would absolutely recommend the CQE exam. Yes, it's more difficult, but going through that journey will have a much larger impact on your career.
I already have the CQE, and I'm wondering, can there be a situation (employment, promotion, appointment, whatever, anything) whereby the CSSGB can actually ADD value to the CQE? Is there ANY point in going for the CSSGB if you already have the CQE?
Hey There!!!! Okay, so there are certain companies out there, who are really involved in lean/six sigma, and having a GB or BB certification would be valuable. In that situations, you've gotta choose between GB and BB, and the question comes down to timing. If you're on the job hunt, and you want a certification quickly, the GB is the best option. The BB would take more time to conquer - but will obviously be more challenging.
Great question! Okay, so I'd recommend looking at the body of knowledge for the CQE Exam. If you feel confident that you already have a strong understanding of all of the topics on the exam, I'd recommend focusing on a different certification that will challenge you to learn something new! If you don't feel comfortable with those topics, then I'd recommend the CQE Journey because it will lead to new learning and growth!

Agreed, that's another reason why I recommend people to start with Green belt and grow form there.

I think you're got a great plan!
Great explainations. Very useful
Thanks!!!
This video was fantastic! Well done!
You're absolutely welcome, and thank you for the great feedback!
How about the difference between Black Belt and CQE?
Great question!

I decided to take both CQE and CSSGB exams! :D
I love that plan!!!
How did it go?
@@michaelshelnutt3534 I passed both exams, thanks to Andy's awesome courses! 🤩🤩

Is there any real benefit to a yellow belt exam, or should I just go straight for the green?
Hey TJ! I think you should go straight to green belt!
