    Great video!! It helped me understand the concept. I'm still confused about a specific scenario when you have a fixture with different stations, should I run my GRR placing the part always on the same stations and randomly? Would that add more variation in my GRR results? Thanks in advance.

    • @CQEAcademy
      @CQEAcademy หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question!! Okay, so the pure definition of repeatability is the variation that is unique to the measurement equipment, and that should also capture any variation in the equipment fixture. So when you run your GR&R you can randomize the fixture that you're using when you take your replicate measurements, but definitely know that this will increase your repeatability. If your repeatability ends up being unacceptable, then you can look at your fixture specifically as a source of variation that could be improved to reduce your repeatability.

    Hi Sir, l have a question. Let's say I have 3 operators and 5 parts. Each part measured by the same operator 3 times. The measurements are length measurement and the equipment is a vernier caliper. Should the 5 parts all come from the same part number e.g. Part number 123 or different part number?

    • @greenbeltacademy
      @greenbeltacademy หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. In a perfect world, yes you would want to measure 5 parts that have the same part number. This ensures that they parts are all made using the same process, and fixtured/inspected the same way. If you used different part numbers, and those designs were slightly different, or their production processes were slightly different, or their measurement methods were slightly different, all of that variation would get introduced into your gauge R&R and skew your results in a negative direction.

    Thank you for posting this video!. Just to clarify, you go through what the ASQ Six Sigma certification differences are. What about Lean Six Sigma? I'm looking for the one with more of a business focus which I think would be LSS. ASQ only offers SS but IASSC offer LLS. What are your thoughts on getting one over the other one? SS/LLS and ASQ/IASCC. Thanks,

    • @greenbeltacademy
      @greenbeltacademy หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question!! Okay, so the ASQ certification can (and should) also be described as a LSS certification. If you look at the ASQ body of knowledge (BoK) it includes many (if not all) of the critical lean concepts that continuous improvement professionals need to know. Also, if you compare the IASSC body of knowledge (BoK) it's nearly identical to the ASQ BoK and they contain the same lean concepts within them. So, they can both be described as a LSS certification. Hopefully that makes sense!

    How different is this process when you do an attribute MSA rather than a variable MSA? For example I have a camera that tells me if a part is good or no good. The problem is the camera is giving false rejects so my boss asked me to do an MSA/Gauge R&R on it. I feel like a lot of the calculations in this video wouldn't work on the binary data I am going to get but I could be wrong.
