Estre and Pier Guidi used to have these kinds of battles with each other a lot back when they both were still driving in the GTE class, and it was just as awesome to watch. Funny enough back then it was also Estre in the Porsche and Pier Guidi in the Ferrari, and man, did they push their cars to the limits. Absolutely top tier drivers, both of them.

Meh, it was only a battle because his was very close to putting the passing car in the barrier. If the car behind didn't back out of some moves we would be talking about how he put a car in the wall on purpose.

@@naufalkusumah2192 have you seen the race? Obviously you havent, even a blind person would see the extreme pace advantage of Ferrari. The Qualifiying is another question, its plausable to think that they sandbaged the Qualifiying to avoid BoP changes.
WEC is the best, I love how they have to mitigate with the lower gt class while battling one another for the quickest time 🎉
Yes props to those HyperCars because those GT3 cars are not slow by any means
And the GT3 have bronze drivers, typically slower and/or more prone to make a mistake. (can’t remember if LMP2 has a bronze or if they must have a silver driver, but similar/lesser impact)

LMH are better than Lmdh in any racetrack. LMH are real prototypes, LmdH are made with standardized pieces. They can compete against LMH only with bop.

Yes, and with former drivers, its wonderful. This year had Mark Webber who was subbing in from time to time.
Yes usually they have rounds for 24H it's like 6 to 8 hours each or something, they relay each others
Yep, this morning I woke up and they were talking about how one of them was on all throughout the whole 4.5 hours of safety car caused by the intense rain of the early morning and he was to leave just as the race was restarting again lol

I cannot recall EVER seeing a more poorly done presentation of race information than WEC achieved on the 2024 LeMans 24 Hours.
LM GT3 received almost no attention throughout the event.
LAP TIMES, the most important info needed by viewers, were NOT GIVEN AT ALL.
All that seems to matter now is the Hypercar class, whiich seems odd because NO ONE can afford one or drive one even if they could buuy one. They are incredible, fast, freak mobiles that represent nothing in the real world. And any interesting info about them is top secret...so WHY? Is this what people really want?
Driver names were never given on the leader board.
When LMGT3 data were shown, only the top several places were usually shown, and no driver names.
Leader Board data was almost always lagging or wrong
Leader board showed "Interval" data as the time between any two cars in order. Should be time between leader and each following car. It took a calculator to understand where people stood relative to first place. IDIOTIC.
They kept showing us the contests for 2nd place, or 4th place, etc., but never showed intervals, speeds or any data to help us understand who might win the local challenge.
Video cut from scene to scene usually with no relation to what the commentator might be saying -- mostly just random camera shots that may have amused the person selecting the camera, but often confused the viewer.
I had to PAY for MAX to see this and TH-cam is prevented from streaming it.
It is impossible to imagine a more incompetent presentation of race data. Utterly unforgiveable for a race as porminent as Le Mans.
I and a lot of people care about hypercars. They show just how far we've come in terms of tech, reliability and speed. Also the best driving, as you see in the video, is done there. In gt3 ⅔ of the drivers were ams. We don't watch these races because we want to see the fastest car and buy that one (well most of us, i bet there's also millionares watching), but for the pure speed, top class driving skills and tech of these machines.
And what relevancy do gt3s have in the real world? You know that the m4 gt3 for example has different suspension, body panels, engine and gearbox than the street car, right?

Ferrari is the best car ... 499p using the same basic engine if 296 road car 3.0 v6... they build their own chassis too...that's why i bought a 296 recently...much better than my sf90xx

I hope they keep Lotterer around maybe in the 5 but n6 is constantly fighting at the top and I feel like he’s holding them back a little. He doesn’t make mistakes but the pace simple isn’t there, I’d rather have Matt, Preining or Andlauer in that 6

Great racing, but the Ferrari was designed for one race in mind, Le Mans, not the other micky mouse circuits that the WEC cars race at and where Porsche are much better suited to.
Porsche were fastest in Qatar and that’s all. Ferrari isn’t designed with just Le Mans in mind. It’s been fastest for 3 races in a row and people still want to count them as underdogs

The 499P was designed MAINLY to win at Le Mans. Engineers said that, it's an official true story, there's no such a mystery. The car has engine and aerodynamics aimed at being optimal in long straights and long races.
Obviously you can't reason on B/W, you try to optimize the car everywhere. But win at Le Mans is a priority over the WEC.
That being said, no one wants them underdogs, I don't understand what you mean. People want Ferrari with a fair BoP, that's why they was faster initially.
I wonder if someone has ever read the BoP parameters before spitting out that FIA is polarized towards Ferrari. Fortunately the car perhaps has space for improvements, because otherwise the performances of LMHs are constantly dropping, when at the same time the LMDhs are being pushed by the rules (what kind of car is Porsche? ...).
@@gabrielegabriele8099 every Wec car is designed to win LM. Ferrari had the best bop at imola and spa then they were on par with the only other LMH able to extract any potential. They should have taken a hit after spa and they didn’t it’s not that deep

Every car is hopefully designed to win. Then, there are something like 1 million parameters to adjust. Aerodynamic layouts, engine, cooling system, hybrid system, etc etc etc etc.
Engineers have choices. Otherwise the design is almost the same. Ferrari decided to optimize the car for Le Mans.
It's that simple. I don't know why it sounds so difficult to understand. It is not me saying this, engineers say that.
I want to emphasize: IT'S NOT A MYSTERY, and it is a perfect legal option to partition things so that the car will have some percent of gain in Le Mans, with maybe a performance hit in other circuits.
The obvious result is that Ferrari performs well at Le Mans.
About BoP, the same old story, which starts to become annoying. It was created to balance poor LMDh against LMH, and so Ferrari, Toyota (and also Isotta Fraschini) get the most wide hit. Ferrari for example get the most heavy hit in terms of power.
Please go read numbers.
That being said, you can choose to put faith in FIA being a very truthful entity, or not, adjusting BoP hits on purpose.
I stuck with the second option, do your move.
