Ones I find are actually frozen inside the drain itself. Takes a lot of hit water and pumping it back and fourth until it unblocks

This video gave me the information I needed to get it all cleaned out and working great.
Note that I had a lower-ice maker that also needed to come out. This was quite easy. There is one 1/4" screw on the side wall. Once this is removed, the ice maker just slides forward. There are 2 connections to remove, but then you have it out.

My fridge is a similar configuration. I thought it was ice blocking, but thanks to your video I saw the real problem was debris in the rubber connector. You saved me a lot of effort and a lot of money. The hardest part was getting all the ice defrosted. Thank you!

You didn’t show how to get to the REAL problem, which is that small slit that you made larger to prevent future clogs. Folks should do the same thing to the identical tube that drains from the refrigerator. When I encountered this problem last year, I found TH-cam full of incomplete or incorrect knowledge for this problem. You are one of the very few to properly identify the problem and provide the simple, and free, fix. Well Done!

Thanks for the great video. In my case debris in the rubber connector in the back has caused everything to back up and freeze on the inside. I had to get a lot of ice out of the bottom of the freezer as well as the drip pan on behind the inside panel. Outstanding video!

This video was perfect, made the fix easy and was done in less than 2 hours once I cleaned everything out and dried it up. I cleaned out the fridge and defrosted the freezer over night and had no ice in the compartment which made clean up faster. Also sharing a not about removing the fold our tray in the front of the freezer there is a small plastic latch to depress and release the right front side of the tray, then you can just remove the tray by pulling it out to the right. Again, great video saved me hours and $s !! Thanks !!

It was exactly what l needed to fix the drain age problem on my GG Profile. Be sure to follow last step to go to back of fridge open panel and check drain pipe. Mine was clogged

I didn't attempt to get to the compressor yet but I was able to take the drawer off to find a 3/4 in thick ice block that was melting and dripping on my hardwood floors. I'll attempt the compressor next. Thank you!

Very helpful video! Same issue here as well. Drain tube at the back of the fridge was clogged just as yours was. Have not thawed the freezer drain tube area yet because of the food in our freezer.
You might be able to remove the drain tube on the back and use a hairdryer to aim up into that drain tube to melt it.
I was finally able to remove the fan panel in the back of the freezer. Not only was it iced up on top of the drain pan, but there was 3/4 of an inch of ice underneath the drain pan I had to remove as well. I was able to use a regular screwdriver and a small hammer and gently tapped the ice until it broke. After the ice was cracked, simply slide the screwdriver underneath the ice and gently raise. I was able to remove two 8 inch 3/4 inch slices of ice this way. Didn’t take long to melt the ice in the drain tube. The drain tube is approximately 1 inch deep and then drains horizontally aft through the drain tube. 4 cups of hot water was enough to melt the ice in the drain tube.

do you think I could just turn off the freezer and let everything thaw for a few days? rather than taking it all apart? i cleaned out the drain tube in the back, and vacuumed all of the dust buildup a few months ago

So there's no ice build up in my freezer, and my drain hoses aren't clogged, but still getting water under the fridge. Possibly something entirely different or perhaps just a frozen drain line? Interesting that there's no ice in the freezer though. Nice video!

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance I do. Think it has something to do with that? I did notice though that there is ice building up in the bottom of the fridge, so I'm wondering now if the condensation isn't getting out and freezing.
I have the same problem on my freezer. I'm planing a vacation in a couple weeks. If I empty the fridge and freezer and leave it turned off for a week, it should accomplish the same thing, right?
