My GE fridge has been leaking water into the interior of the fridge for about 2 years now. It is almost identical to the one in this video. I followed the video and with lots of hot water turkey basting, swoosh, everything drained down the hole!! Thankyou Appliance Video!! Well done!

wow! I just did this procedure and wuala! The drain is clean thanks, I will not bother anyone for this problem again. My fridge is the same at the video fridge, thank you Appliance video
I have GE GTH22SBSARSS. There are 2 square holes (right top and left top) on the first layer of refrigerator. Then, There’s water dripping sometimes from the left square hole around 2 cups per day. Is this the same issue?
You bailed us out.. Thank you for this video. We have a differeent model but basicly it was the same process. The back place in the freezer needed to come out first. Then it went well. If it was summer I would have just set the whole thing out on the front porch. No we don't have a couch out there too. Thank you for the help😀!

I had this problem recurring several times with a GE fridge Ice kept blocking the drain tube inlet I finally solved it by attaching an inverted L shape piece of 3/16" copper tubing into the drain hole, The longer side of the L has to be long enough to be placed 1-1/2 -2" inch inside the drain tube. The short end of the copper L tube, about 1-3/4" long I attached it firmly to the heating element that do the defrosting with a small screw clamp. It has not leaked ever since. The copper tube will get warm and melt any ice trying to enter the drain hole. It is a $5 fix ·

Some manufacturers have a kit to do this it's basically the same thing but a clamp on the heater element tightened with a screw with an extension to the drain all made out of aluminum.
Take the lower back panel off, it should be a fiberboard or cardboard cover with flathead screws, then poke a ziptie through the black tube on the right that curves up into a J shape. A black ball of snot should pop out with some coaxing. Then the water should drain fine, if there is no ice obstruction.

Americans always have a twist on english words. I can't find a fix for my leaky fridge because the feed is flooded with Americans referring to a freezer as a refrigerater.

My top freezer GE is periodically dumping water onto the floor. No water in the fridge! No apparent access to the very bottom of the fridge
I have the same frigerator. The fridge doesn't stay super cold while the freezer works like a charm. Any ideas anyone??
