The respect Kansas showed not taking advantage of opponent’s injury is absolutely commendable
Kansas came out and took that game. UNC didn’t lose it. Props to Kansas.
Exactly
They overcame what would have been a huge upset
Choke was what UNC did vs Baylor… how they pulled it out is a miracle and a mystery. I’ve never seen such a monumental meltdown by a good-ish team (as opposed to maybe a double digit seed with less experience). But KU is better across the board: coaching, upperclassmen, experience, execution, defense, offense, team chemistry. For a super clutch, composed team down the stretch, They have to get credit for taking this win. This was not luck!
No they lost it. You have that big of a lead you don’t let a team go on a 31-10 run to open the second half, but this is also the same team who was up 25 against Baylor and let them come back, they took their foot off the gas last night and let them back into the game
@@julieburck9613 fam your not a better team across the board with a -20 rebound margin lol 😂
Congrats to Kansas for winning it all!
My Jayhawks avenged their would be title run in 2020, Self now has multiple titles as coach and KU are not Rock Chalk Champs again. Congrats to them, they truly deserve and made history on the biggest comeback ever in NCAA history.
Kansas was seeded #1 for a reason...great skill...great coaching...great team play...point spread didn't shake them...deep understanding of how the game is played !
KU wins a national title and all they can do is talk about UNC, how predictable.
The Banner says, "What Sparked Comeback for Kansas?" and you didn't mention Kansas or its' players or coach at all. What a joke. Kansas didn't win because UNC choked. Kansas played superb defense and started making their shots - the shots they didn't make in the 1st half. Give credit to the guys who won the game; don't just focus on what UNC didn't do. No one lost the game - Kansas won it!
They did give credit quit crying you won the game 😂lol they spoke facts the entire segment it
@@devingray9075 They were talking the losers of the game. They mentioned the loser's coach name and players. No Bill Self, McCormick, Bruan, Martin, Wilson or Lightfoot. Those are the facts stupid!
You can say Kansas won it, you can say UNC choked, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter how you phrase it - KU won the national championship baby!!!
Thank you Dorothy for clicking those heels 👠 and beating the tarheels and going home to Kansas. Wiz of Oz FACTS 😂
I hope a measly Trophy is worth heartache down the Road.. Click Click.
That ex VTECH coach always hating on Kansas.
Kansas Owns ACC!
UNC is now (0-4) vs Kansas in NCAA Tournament since 2008.
BigXII Conference Back2Back National Champions!
Caleb Love doesn’t deserve the hate from social media…. he over performed his expectations on multiple occasions.
that’s exactly what i just commented , he’s a 40% scorer on the season. After the duke game SAS was acting like he was easily their best player and they were gonna win or lose off the strength of him.
Exactly. As a KU fan I was worried about him with the ball the Whole night. UNC wouldn’t be there in the ship without Loves streaky shooting.
Love seemed to be auditioning for the NBA. 24 shots? And most were not good shots at all. If Manek gets 4 more shots and R J Davis gets 4 more.. Carolina wins. Terrible selfish play by Love. Hats off to the rest of the UNC team . BTW Hubert Davis needed to call some timeouts when KU opened the 2nd half on a run.
@@racebannon8569 or if manek made those 2 missed free throws and if RJ davis would’ve taken more shots rather than being passive more so but fair point , UNC blew the game start of the second half with their defense more than caleb loves missed shots imo but fair
But when it mattered most he put himself over the team
I'm so sick of the UNC show. Stop talking about the looser and start talking about KANSAS. They even talk about UNC/DUKE/ACC even in loss... CRAZY
Kansas is the favorite to win. I was surprised they didn't win by 20 points. Congratulation to Kansas and Remy Martin.
There was "No Love" for UNC last night and it had everything to do with Kansas' defense. He played really well in the tournament and no shame at all about him last night.
Naw not really Caleb love has been a streaky shooter all year
@@manman2991 fair but either he’s streaky or Kansas is lucky or they are just great at defending because every team in the tournament had their worst shooting nights.
Why can't any of these sports' expert analysist acknowledge that the Big 12 Conference had back-to-back National Champions? All they seem to say is the losers should have won??
There’s a weird thing with the media and the Big 12… the past 3 Nattys have had a Big 12 team and KU was the #1 overall seed when Covid happened… there’s a weird bias against the Big 12
Could have been 3 national championships but Virginia was out of bounds and they didn't call it. Clear as day.
Kansas Kansas Kansas ! Rock chalk Jay Hawks !
No respect at all for Kansas with these ESPN analysts, all they can do is whine about UNC getting beat. So much east coast bias for UNC and Duke. I'm glad Kansas put everyone in their place!
preach facts
Amen!!!!
I'm a UNC fan give Kansas credit they outplayed UNC in second half and deserved to win I'm still happy we beat dook
all about how UNC lost - not how KU won....ROCK CHALK BABY!
Hating on Love. The irony. Consider the fact that he only had 13 points AND YET they only lost by 3. If he's a major reason why they made it to the finals, then he absolutely does NOT deserve any negative reaction.
Well said Stephan A. We all knew KU would come out on fire in the second half. What a great game.
Lol spent the whole segment talkin about UNC 😂. Man ig they shoulda won so Stephen A woulda been happy 🤷🏽♂️
They was 1 seed overall during canceled season, so W.
Why everyone is taking bout what UNC didn't do instead of what KU did? If they did not overlook KU they would have seen this coming. KU always play slow the 1st half then flip the switch in the 2nd. Ask Remy(The Drink)Martin got UNC drunk off of them late threes.
North Carolina didn’t lose the national championship Kansas took the national championship!!!
Hey! Don’t quit, God gave you this path cause he knows you’re built for it 😤. Keep pushing, the reward is gonna be even better!
I really needed to hear this
This would be helpful, except for the fact that there’s no such thing as god, lol.
Thx for the motivation bro!💪
Stephen A. literally did not state one. single. name of a Jayhawks player. He mentioned Caleb Love, referenced Bacot, talked about timeouts, Coach talked about Manek, they talked about full stands.
NO MENTION of Agbaji, McCormack, Remy, Jalen, Harris.....and all the monster plays they pulled off in the 2nd half. KU won that game, I'm sorry you lost money on it Stephen A.
At the end of the day, the loss came down to coaching. Not calling a timeout when you have two left to at least formulate a plan within that last 20 seconds was u forgivable. Especially after the miss and the first offensive rebound. All they needed was a quick 2 , they weren’t even in the double bonus yet, would’ve been a 1 and 1. Horrific coaching display to close the game, really showed the difference in experience.
Heck a timeout to tape ankles alone. 4 for Kansas in the last 100 years
i agree completley
These dudes really don't watch college ball all season and act like they know these teams inside and out Lmaoo
Stephen A. Looks like Schlitzie and Beetlejuice had a baby.
Kansas 72 --Carolina 69
Love how SAS yesteray said caleb love was their only chance to win when if he watched all year they have 4 players who can go for 15+ and wasn’t gonna rely on love anyways who’s a 40% scorer from the feild this year.
Lol Keyshawn and SAS haven’t watch a college game ever idk why they even talking
The Media is talking UNC, not the winner of the game.
Nauseating but true.
That's ok.
ESPN is a Disney Company.
Enough said.
Congratulations KANSAS 🏀🏆🛣️ Love, 💜 Denver 🍀
Caleb Love shot 5-24... RJ Davis was also a big issue. he shot way too early in a lot of those possessions and he was 5-17. both together shot 1-13 from 3. its their faults they loss
Star players do have bad shooting nights if you play the little basketball you know this especially one day rest. But there’s nobody’s fault because they were up by 15 and you just stating facts of a poor shooting night they could easily win this game by 20 if they’ve got HOTT from the three-point line n made shots !!!
Facts hopefully them boys keep there heads up though but unc should’ve won the game and taking smarter shots would help
@@tillmandavis6478 yea but why did they continue chucking? Especially so early in the clock? Bad game management.
@@tillmandavis6478 if you aren't hitting shots you get your other teammates involved and find the guy/guys that're playing well. Like Johnson and Bacot. You don't keep throwing up prayer 3's and shooting in the first 5 seconds of the shot clock. They were the reason they lost and thats that
along with their coach who watch the lead go away without calling one time out or make any adjustments at all he just stood back and watched poor coaching at all
Kansas was the better team all year
That was a good game 4sure
Taking one player and living in a what of world where only Love plays his great game to beat KU is just delusional…KU had many players who played below avg compared to earlier games haha
Rock Chalk Jayhawks!
Unc nothing to be ashamed of Kansas wanted if more
caleb love was taking those same shots the entire tournament - was bound to catch up to them eventually
Let’s goooo KU all day !!!!!!!
I miss college football.
lol.
Agbaji didn't get a lot of points either. If remy didn't knock in that bank 3, it woulda been tied. Had many chances to tie down the stretch. Maybe fouling mccormack on that final hoop was an option but i think manek woulda fouled out. but anyways I don't want that guy getting 2 in the paint like that. SO we had to chuck 3s when we coulda just took 2s.
If if if if if if and if.
U can’t blame any certain unc player for their loss. They shouldn’t have gave up a 15 point lead as a team in the first place , that’s the main issue here.
No depth and that finally caught up to them. It's nobody's fault Kansas was better. Someone has to be
Nah Davis and Love combined 10-41
Midwest Team winning just kills these east coast homers !
That Sixers lockeroom might be a little awkward today
So Kansas are the world champs!!!
National
@@YourePartofMe the LA Rams won a title for a sport only contested in this country and sportscaster call them "the world champions." Why can't the Jayhawks be the world champs? Is NYCFC the world champs of soccer or is it France?

UNC completely blew it.
8 seed vs 1 it was statistics...
@@wjhandy Dude they were up by 15. Rankings have nothing to do with it.
@@bxi1547 Dude UNC wasn't even suposed to be there... Dook would have killed KU if they were. KU eked it out by 3.
KU took it.
Caleb Love sold, shot selections always been poor but when you make them no one says anything
RJ Davis didn’t shoot too well either
Big facts tryna play hero ball
The lack of bench hurt them, period
I believe that there is a flaw in the scheduling of the NCAA Men's Final Four (4) and the Women's as well. Here it is: I believe that the players need at least 2 full days to recover from the Semi-Finals. If you look at the last 2 years of the Final Four, the team that had the more difficult game (this year it was N.C. who had to play Duke) on Saturday... just didn't have enough time to recover physically. Last year, Gonzaga had to play UCLA into Overtime and they were gassed. I still believe that Baylor's Defense was outstanding and they would have won... but by many fewer points. UNC's big guy (#5) rolled his right ankle on Saturday. An extra day of rest may have helped him. Still, the teams play extremely hard on a Saturday evening (the Women on a Friday night) and then have to recover very quickly. I know that the NBA has a Game 6 in their Finals... and then they get 2 full days of rest for Game 7. The same should hold true for College Basketball.
U got a gr8 point fr tho
A whole paragraph for a excuse.
Villanova was an easy game?
@@robkc6069 Their best player was injured
@@tainanking Damm, I thought it was* a team sport.
Kansas wins but lets talk about North Carolina?
Watching the game couldn’t help but notice the bacot was hurt that whole game and held his own on one leg it’s obvious he was hurt and looking at how he handled dukes big men had he been 100% the outcome would have clearly been completely different
wait ✋️, he did take a timeout with before the last shot or are they talking about a different time?
Roy Williams syndrome --don't call a timeout!💥
Exactly.
Refs did a one sided job vs Duke and let Bacot get away with 6-8 fouls against Duke and the Basketball gods did their justice.
Exactly right the refs screwed us
🤣🤣🤣!!! Duke lost, expected it
All those NBA players at duke and embarrassed by UNC twice now we own duke so long look at me retirement coach k party bad way to retire made the year about him not his players
@@robertcreekmore8912 like when we blew yall out by 20😂😂😂
@@robertcreekmore8912 Wouldn't say embarrassed especially after that horribly called last game and his legacy was cemented o er a decade ago...🤷🤷
This UNC team was legendary... twice!
Truth
Sure but also the 1st losers.
They aren't even using the right final four logo for this segment 🤣
Kansas went nuclear after halftime, hands down. ✋️
The do have more missile silos that UNC has so that's fitting... Now back to the great reset already in progress.
Bill Self finally won another ncaa championship.
It’s his second
@@ryanreich4818 Ok my mistake
ROCK CHALK
What killed us is no depth and we played through injuries
Leaky getting that 4th foul and sitting hurt also.
Its hard to play 5 guys and not get in trouble with fouls/injuries.

I have to pinch myself every time I say:
Kansas Jayhawks are this year’s NAACP
Champions!!! It feels so amazing!! (Crying)
Tar Heels had a wonderful season and congrats to Kansas that was a great game and UNC will definitely be back!! They had nothing to lose and they beat Duke twice so that was great! They’ll always be frauds!!! Congrats again Kansas they’re legit!!!! Always Go heels!!
UNC should’ve put the ball in RJ Davis hands. Imo
This entire segment was about north carolina
Why is Keyshawn commenting on college basketball??? He has no idea what he's talking about.
Personally? As a KU fan and dwn 15 at Halftime?
Herbert Davis not calling timeouts during that flurry by Kansas start 2ndHalf?
U GOTTA protect that kind lead.
Lol I mean Kansas made it a game by 16min mark 2ndHalf!
Sometimes I wonder if Stephen A have understanding..🤦🏿🤦🏿
90% abt UNC. ESPN hates KU
First Take needs Max Kellerman or a Skip Bayless...the show stopped being a debate show format and became just boring sports segments
This is a video clip of how UNC lost and NOT how KU won 👎
Yeah because unc beat themselves with stupid shot selection
East Coast bias is very real on ESPN. Especially anything Duke or UNC. No surprise there!
Cause UNC actually had Kansas defeated just for the refs and Vegas to pull the 2nd half strings
It’s 1000% Loves fault that they lost.
He shot 5/25 from the field and NC only lost by 3 😂
That’s pretty horrible
U can make that argument with this numbers
A loss can never be 100% on one player that’s not how team sports work
Man I hate to give him all the blame but he’s sure a big part of it
He was also one of the the big reasons UNC got so far. Streaky shooter but bad decisions down the stretch. He doesn’t deserve all the hate.
@@tykuresa22 100 percent agree
Should have made better decisions in the closing minutes. 3's verse 2'd!! Was it coaching or bad shot selections!!
How did Carolina loose a 20 pt lead. NC coaching was most definitely out of pocket. Kansas played well, but Dam.
injuries will do it every time, with a short depleted bench. With all that KU got their 4th by avoiding what was going to be a huge upset. UNC won just by being in the last game.
What 20 point lead
@@robertcreekmore8912 huh? At half time
@@lovelyme4004 15 point lead not twenty

Steven A.. give us jayhawks your best shot??!! Grabbing that Natty!! Rock chalk jayhawks!! No one!!!
Coach Davis never flashed a different defense (zone or match-up zone defense) during Kansas run to see how Kansas responded to it . Those around the bucket shots Kansas missed or had blocked in the 1st half ... they made in the 2nd half . Kansas only made 31% of their 3's ... so why not a match-up zone from Carolina to prevent those dump passes inside and those driving layups .
Kansas is a super talented team and they were playing with a full tank of gas because their Villanova matchup was an easy game for them. Carolina had just played the most intense game in their program's history and their star player was injured. KU WAS THE BETTER TEAM BY FAR LAST NIGHT. Those Jayhawks started slow with reduced effort in the first half. They turned on the juice in the second half and Carolina was no match for them. There would have never been a 15 point first half lead if Kansas had played to their potential from the start.
Kansas deserved it but UNC should feel good from unranked to number 2 and win over Dukie's twice ruined coach k retirement party
With coach k announcing his retirement all the attention was on him not dukes players not the best way to retire the look at me retirement tour
National Runner Up is very much a prestigious title. Even though the players would disagree
Kansas won the game, not unc blew it.
Man UNC caught the L David McCormack should have won MOP AND THATS THAT SMH
Oh and Bacot got shut down really only 6pts everything else he made at the FT line
bruhbthe difference was coaching
Worst final four in the history. The level was embarrassing
So mad lost hella money on unc

Man that game was set up for Kansas to win. Cause there is no way unc could of win it. Is they would of won it David's would of had the greatest year for a first time head coach look at all the great coach he beat in March. Then imagine if he won it all goat🤔
Nobody gonna talk about how it was a 1 point game and Bacot injured himself and gave a turnover with less than a minute left? Kansas won because of a mystery injury, calm down
A win is a win.
Need to minimize the effects of bad refs call by round robin or double elimination. Why are "home" teams winning percentages higher than "away" games?
