    I grew up a KU fan...still am...but I can freely and honestly say that I feel for the Carolina players....they played so great and so hard. They should definitely be proud of what they did.

    UNC didn't gave away but, kansas played the way they used to play as always. Down by 9 points playing with Miami, down by 16 points playing with K state and so forth. This is the story about the Jayhawks.

    I feel what Nick was saying, man. You get so emotionally invested in these teams and games! I was rooting for Carolina. They almost pulled it off! I do believe, however, that Kansas had the (slightly) better and obviously deeper team. That doesn't take away from Carolina at all. It was a very impressive performance given their limitations (do they have a big man other than Bacot?) and they almost did it!

      Most KCMO roots for Kansas unless Missouri makes it to the sweet 16. We all move back and forth across the border all the time.

      From the Missouri side of Kansas City. Have always loved and rooted for KU basketball. Started by watching Darnell Valentine at Kemper Arena. Had the fever ever since! Rock Chalk!

      Lawrence is a very cool town - even if you're not a KU fan. I was on Mass Street in 2008 when KU won that title...was a great experience.

    I know he is a Syracuse Grad but It's crazy for someone like Nick Wright that Grew Up 40 Miles from Lawrence in Kansas City, MO barely mentions KU.

      @@ryandonovan5895 Of Course you are right. We do have to keep in mind that he went to Syracuse because of their High Ranking Broadcast School. Missouri has a Ranked Broadcast School as Well. So why did Syracuse appeal to him over that School in Columbia?

    Nick is a Kansas native and loves KC sports.. but doesn’t root for KU? Weird. Having KU win the title is more exciting to me than a Sporting KC MLS Cup.

      There is a Kansas City, Kansas (it's where the NASCAR track is, etc.)...but yes, Wright was on the MO side of the state line....as are the KC sports teams (Kaufman and Arrowhead are right next to each other in KCMO)....but just because he's close to KU (Lawrence is like 30-60 min away), there's Mizzou, there's K-State, there's the St. Louis teams (past and present), etc....and of course, Nick went to Syracuse for college.

    North Carolina out scored Kansas 16-3 from the free throw line in the first half in building a 16 point half lead which no one is talking about. Tar heels didn't get the same production from the line in the second half. Without those 16 points from the stripe I believe it would of been a KU blowout!

      @@WAZOWSKI_58 Well that’s the difference. I graduated from UNC and had no expectation that this team would even make it to the S16. Beating Duke the way we did this year was looked at as almost impossible. Ofc we wanted to win last night, but the boys left it all out there and proved to be the toughest team in the country. Plus, unc fans can handle an L. Nothing will ever top the Villanova loss in 2016.

    My opinion, college basketball obviously doesn’t have the same level of skill as the pros but the players care more in college. The coaches actually get to coach, the teams actually run offensive & defensive schemes etc
    The NBA has literally turned into a 3 point shooting contest every game & games aren’t exciting until the last quarter….

    Unc's only weakness was exposed this game by kansas, kansas runs up and than like krazy and they got the depth to do it, unc keeps the same starting 5 pretty much the whole game, and so more injuries are bound to happen and getting gased is bound to happen, and that is why they lost a 15 pt 2nd half lead, and they only had like a 1 day rest for the championship?

    does nick wright pay attention to college basketball? UNC had a hugh lead at half. once the 2nd half started they made 1 or 2 passes and threw up a bunch of 3's with alot of time on the shot clock. Hubert is not a good coach. If he was smart he would have drawn up plays to eat the clock and feed it down low.

    Nick deal with it. Most of these athletes will win and lose chips. It’s comes with the territory. I’ve been on both sides. The lows and highs are remembered. They weren’t deep enough and thus Kansas simply had more strings to pull and a much easier road to the finals. Credit Bill Self for making sure they chopped into that lead early in the second half and that shutting down Davis on the Tar Heels was the key.
