I don't think we've seen FIrecracker's full strength, and I think Firecracker was told by Sage to not strike Starlight so that the victim role could playout and result in Starlight being ousted. Maybe Firecracker's powers are less useful, but Sage is smart and knows that Firecracker will be pivotal in the big plan.

We know she CAN fight because she was able to vs Kimiko, so her not even raising a hand to try is suspect. If there is one thing we know she understands, as a character, it's how to manipulate an audience. Her whole goal, per her comment in S4E3, was to make Starlight look mean to the whole world. Letting Starlight beat on her in unhinged rage broadcast live is a W for her in achieving that objective.

i think the only reason she couldn't fight starlight is because she was not fighting back on purpose as they were being filmed and it was to her advantage to take a beating without getting personal on camera

She’s a firecracker because she has the special power to spark, not physically, but more so metaphorically and start a fire of public opinion. But like a spark, it’s only useful to start the fire in specific conditions, it’s mostly useless after the fact. Or, firecrackers are just really for show/somewhat toys, their usefulness is intense but insanely short lived.
Given the events of S4E4, where Firecracker successfully delivers a crippling blow to Annie's Starlighter movement, I don't see her surviving this season. Her purpose on the Seven was to destroy the Starlighter movement and she's just done that. Or at least took a big step towards it. However, she also got her ass beat on live TV by Starlight and this makes her come across as a weak supe (which she is) and what is one of the things Homelander despises? Weakness. If she's seen as weak while being on the Seven, then she's making the Seven look bad and, as Homelander himself once said, by extension this makes HIM look bad and he'll wanna do something about that. Now that part may not come up, but it's something to consider at least. When Firecracker was sucking up to Homelander prior to the meeting of the Seven, he didn't even pay any attention to her. He didn't even look in her direction. Dude could give two shits about her. She doesn't have a big fanbase, aside from what being on the Seven has given her and that's basically her suckling on Homelander's fame, so what reason does he have to keep her around now? She doesn't bring in any good ratings, she doesn't offer anything useful behind closed doors now that she's crippled the Starlighter movement and fulfilled her one and only purpose unlike Sage, who isn't charismatic or popular with crowds but is hella useful to Homelander behind the screen and she's just not marketable. He literally has no use for her anymore. My call? She's gonna live for a few more episodes to cause a bit of additional damage to the Starlighter movement and in the meantime, she's going to start noticing that Sage and Homelander don't have her back and are slowly but surely starting to give her the cold shoulder as her usefulness to them continues to wane and in a desperate move to regain their approval, she's going to do something monumentally stupid, one of the boys are going to get their hands on some evidence of her fuck up and use it as blackmail only done properly this time, swinging the balance of power back in their favor and as revenge, Homelander's going to rip her limb from limb, like he did to Alex/Supersonic. Annie's going to spend the next few episodes being royally pissed at Firecracker (rightly so, ofc) but in the end, she's going to see what Homelander did to her and feel some form of regret for how things turned out between them. That's my wild guess based on absolutely nothing at all. Just a wild speculation. I can't wait to see how spectacularly wrong I am about literally all of it or, who knows, maybe I'll get some parts of it right. We'll know in the course of the next few weeks and I'm hyped to find out. I would gladly eat my words if what actually ends up happening is way better than what I came up with.

I completely agree and the ones who are defending Starlight and tell Firecracker to get over it (Which really piss's me off) clearly have no idea the grip that trauma can have on people, let alone a 13-year-old girl that had her entire life ruined. What I am curious about is that I think Sage's plan was for Annie to kill Firecracker on camera and the fact of her being alive was what kind of sent Sage on her bender at the end of the episode. Its just that the second time we see her do that, its after something goes awry. First, when Homelander killed Annika before she could reveal more (like that Maeve is still alive) and now where maybe the plan didn't go off exactly. And like even by the comments, if Firecracker seems fine, there is more that it was all staged opinions that would start coming out. And worse, Sage still has to deal with Firecracker.
No. I think Firecracker superpower given to her by compound V is the ability to understand what other people want to hear. She knows how to spark emotions in them and make the masses do what she wants. The sparks she can create with her hands are just a small part of her powers. She says this herself when asked by sister sage, what her powers are.

Not far off of Highschool, but yes. Important to understand, though, that no matter how long ago it was it seems to have ruined her life in some ways. Her family was poor. She had nothing else going for her. High level pageantry was her ticket to a better life as far as she and her family were concerned, I imagine. She was winning, at her prime, before little Starlight obliterated her pageant career with that rumour and destroyed her reputation while she was at it. Given she grew up in a conservative town it probably also destroyed her family's reputation. To Starlight, it was a stupid, immature, thing she did as a teen. To Firecracker, it was the total ruination of her (at a minimum) adolescent life.
I have a feeling Firecracker is going to stay with the Seven and possibly end up unlocking a stronger power wherein she can actually conjure flames. She'll discover her new-found power in the midst of a fight with the Boys. However just as you think "oh shit" for our heroes, her heart will give out due to a combination of pushing her body further than she's ever gone before and the lactation meds she's been on. That'd be an on-brand ending for Firecracker as far as the show goes.
I think she let Starlight beat her up on purpose so she looks bad on camera. I think Firecracker's definitely stronger and more capable than you spoke about in the video. She just hasn't gotten a chance to display her abilities fully
I highly doubt Firecracker will die. She's still redeemable and capable of learning. I think its likely Sage will turn on Homelander for Neuman creating three sides of conflicting interest with the possibility of being a fourth when the Gen V group gets out.

I think Firecracker's lack of power, but unwavering desire for attention is exactly why sage picked her. she's a Supe the majority of america can relate to, while also being loyal to Homelander. her past connection with Starlight will be used to set her up to be killed by her, making her a martyr and turning the people against her and her cause.
Something tells me that she's not gonna be able to produce the "mothers' milk" that Homelanders looking for... and yeah... at that point will be worthless... to him.

It would be great if Firecracker's true power were Influence but at an entirely different level. She could be influencing Sister Sage and Homelander to THINK she is just a pawn to be sacrificed for their greater plan. It would be awesome if, later in the season, she would turn to Sister Sage or Homelander and take control of them. When she uses her true power her victims won't even realize that they're being controlled so they won't later try to get revenge on Firecracker. I don't hold out much hope for this but I'd love to see Homelander stand there and take instructions from Firecracker and then do her bidding.

Firecracker, from what I saw on Twitter and other TH-cam comment threads, picked up a decent sized following of "supporters" IRL after her backstory with Starlight came our in E3. People hate bullies. Most of that support disappeared after E4 revealed the thing about her relations with "a sweet young man" though 🤣
I am pretty sure she's going to have a heart attack because of the meds she's on to be Homelander's MilkBags. The writers have had her explicitly share that it "enlarges the heart."
FC didn’t “intentionally lose” to Starlight. That would imply that she knew the goal was to get Starlight to attack her which I doubt she fore saw. She was just obviously taken off guard and NOT expecting to get blasted in the face. This gave Starlight the upper hand. If FC squared up to fight instead of hitting a “Chris Rock at the Oscar’s,” in other words just standing there before getting attacked, it might have actually been a fight. SL still would have won, but it wouldn’t have been so one sided like in the scene.
the best thing to do with her, is give another shot of compound V & it makes her the big bad villain we can see some good super hero battles to finish off this season making it build up to homelander finally battle next season
What would be kinda cool to see, after taking the beatdown firecracker starts training and finds there more her powers(basically making her the sevens version of a Jubilee) levels up goes back and punks out starlight a bit showing her now she is a legitimate threat which then leads to a epic final fight on balanced terms and this time M.M ain't there to stop starlight
The first thing I thought when I saw her is that she would had probably be related to Soldier Boy. Since these two are the only supes we have seen that carry guns or weapons, as well as Gunpowder and Blue Hawk. Taking into account that Firecracker is not an original character from The Boys comics, and instead has been created newly for the TV series. Even though, she has officially turned out as my favorite supes from this season. Since I personally, think that of all the new characters to The Boys season 4, Valorie Curry's Firecracker is by far the most entertaining character to join the series. What makes Firecracker more interesting is that she doesn't seem to truly believe in or abide by the things she preaches. Also I think Valorie Curry did a great job parodying this type of talking head, striking the right balance between being hilarious and chilling. All her quirks, expressions, and lines make the character believable, and they ensure Firecracker is the highlight of every scene she's in. Although her power might not be that much powerful, for now. Firecracker's true power stems from her ability to manipulate people, as well as her mastery of various platforms to spread her messages. Most people can point to politicians, media personalities, or average people who remind them of her. Firecracker's brand of villainy showcases a far more human wickedness than Homelander, making her one of The Seven's most believable members. Knowing she doesn't believe everything she says makes her even more diabolical, and her history with Starlight does little to make viewers feel for her, especially seeing how far she goes for revenge.
I don't think she let Starlight beat her. All of the context clues point that she expected an argument, not a beat down. A beat down orchestrated by Sage. And, even if she did let her do some of it for the optics, she surely would have realized Starlight was killing her and put up some resistance when her life was on the line.
No one can convince me that Sage is as smart as she says. I think she was genuinely surprised that Firecracker found a way to get on Honelander’s good side. And I don’t think she saw MM intervening when Annie went after Firecracker. Even so, she thought she could destroy Annie’s reputation through Firecracker but I think Firecracker will turn.

She's not as dangerous as Sister Sage, Stormfront, or Victoria Neuman for different reasons. Sister Sage is far more intelligent. Stormfront's powers are more formattable and she's more of a devoted fanatic. Victoria Neuman's powers are far too advanced and she's politically more savvy which allows her to sway public opinion easier.

I think the events were planned to happen this way; Firecracker was provoking Starlight at every turn, so that the on-air fight would happen. Vought posted a stage outside Starlight House, had a former rival of Starlight join The Seven, had Firecracker slander Starlight and then reveal that Starlight had an abortion: all to make Starlight lose her self-control and attack. Nowadays, nothing is more powerful to the media than being a victim. Sage planned this from the start with Firecracker, and I do think Sage is going to kill Firecracker off as a martyr.

Starlight played right into Sage's plan, and this season we will see Starlight either die or leave the show, as she and Hughie have Canadian passports.
I’m calling it now. Firecracker makes herself irreplaceable to homelander but will need to die to be the final piece in sages plan. Homelander already being turned against sage after events of episode 6, will freak out and brutalize sage. After that I bet any grand plans with the 25th amendment and subtly taking over the country will be thrown out for an all out war between supes and everyone else.
Powers and abilities? Kinda seems like she just has sparklers in her hands. Firecracker is weak as heck, starlight squashed her without even using her powers , just strength. Maybe she was taking the beating on purpose cause I don't think starlight is that much stronger than kimiko, if at all. Kimiko is pretty badass in my opinion.

My call? She's gonna live for a few more episodes to cause a bit of additional damage to the Starlighter movement and in the meantime, she's going to start noticing that Sage and Homelander don't have her back and are slowly but surely starting to give her the cold shoulder as her usefulness to them continues to wane and in a desperate move to regain their approval, she's going to do something monumentally stupid, one of the boys are going to get their hands on some evidence of her fuck up and use it as blackmail only done properly this time, swinging the balance of power back in their favor and as revenge, Homelander's going to rip her limb from limb, like he did to Alex/Supersonic. Annie's going to spend the next few episodes being royally pissed at Firecracker (rightly so, ofc) but in the end, she's going to see what Homelander did to her and feel some form of regret for how things turned out between them.
That's my wild guess based on absolutely nothing at all. Just a wild speculation. I can't wait to see how spectacularly wrong I am about literally all of it or, who knows, maybe I'll get some parts of it right. We'll know in the course of the next few weeks and I'm hyped to find out. I would gladly eat my words if what actually ends up happening is way better than what I came up with.

I think after the shock of the first blow she just decided to roll with it and let Starlight dig her own grave. She'd gotten what she wanted even more spectacularly than she'd hoped.
I also don't know that if she had fought back she wouldn't have been able to drag out an actual fight. She lasted a couple minutes 1v1 with Kimiko, and Kimiko def > Starlight in combat skill and experience. Don't know how much of amp Starlight has gotten since last season, but I'd have outright said Kimiko beats Starlight then.

What I am curious about is that I think Sage's plan was for Annie to kill Firecracker on camera and the fact of her being alive was what kind of sent Sage on her bender at the end of the episode. Its just that the second time we see her do that, its after something goes awry. First, when Homelander killed Annika before she could reveal more (like that Maeve is still alive) and now where maybe the plan didn't go off exactly. And like even by the comments, if Firecracker seems fine, there is more that it was all staged opinions that would start coming out. And worse, Sage still has to deal with Firecracker.
No. I think Firecracker superpower given to her by compound V is the ability to understand what other people want to hear. She knows how to spark emotions in them and make the masses do what she wants. The sparks she can create with her hands are just a small part of her powers.

Not far off of Highschool, but yes. Important to understand, though, that no matter how long ago it was it seems to have ruined her life in some ways. Her family was poor. She had nothing else going for her. High level pageantry was her ticket to a better life as far as she and her family were concerned, I imagine. She was winning, at her prime, before little Starlight obliterated her pageant career with that rumour and destroyed her reputation while she was at it. Given she grew up in a conservative town it probably also destroyed her family's reputation.
To Starlight, it was a stupid, immature, thing she did as a teen. To Firecracker, it was the total ruination of her (at a minimum) adolescent life.
I have a feeling Firecracker is going to stay with the Seven and possibly end up unlocking a stronger power wherein she can actually conjure flames. She'll discover her new-found power in the midst of a fight with the Boys. However just as you think "oh shit" for our heroes, her heart will give out due to a combination of pushing her body further than she's ever gone before and the lactation meds she's been on. That'd be an on-brand ending for Firecracker as far as the show goes.

It would be great if Firecracker's true power were Influence but at an entirely different level. She could be influencing Sister Sage and Homelander to THINK she is just a pawn to be sacrificed for their greater plan. It would be awesome if, later in the season, she would turn to Sister Sage or Homelander and take control of them. When she uses her true power her victims won't even realize that they're being controlled so they won't later try to get revenge on Firecracker. I don't hold out much hope for this but I'd love to see Homelander stand there and take instructions from Firecracker and then do her bidding.

FC didn’t “intentionally lose” to Starlight. That would imply that she knew the goal was to get Starlight to attack her which I doubt she fore saw. She was just obviously taken off guard and NOT expecting to get blasted in the face. This gave Starlight the upper hand. If FC squared up to fight instead of hitting a “Chris Rock at the Oscar’s,” in other words just standing there before getting attacked, it might have actually been a fight. SL still would have won, but it wouldn’t have been so one sided like in the scene.
the best thing to do with her, is give another shot of compound V & it makes her the big bad villain we can see some good super hero battles to finish off this season making it build up to homelander finally battle next season

The first thing I thought when I saw her is that she would had probably be related to Soldier Boy. Since these two are the only supes we have seen that carry guns or weapons, as well as Gunpowder and Blue Hawk. Taking into account that Firecracker is not an original character from The Boys comics, and instead has been created newly for the TV series. Even though, she has officially turned out as my favorite supes from this season. Since I personally, think that of all the new characters to The Boys season 4, Valorie Curry's Firecracker is by far the most entertaining character to join the series. What makes Firecracker more interesting is that she doesn't seem to truly believe in or abide by the things she preaches. Also I think Valorie Curry did a great job parodying this type of talking head, striking the right balance between being hilarious and chilling. All her quirks, expressions, and lines make the character believable, and they ensure Firecracker is the highlight of every scene she's in.
Although her power might not be that much powerful, for now. Firecracker's true power stems from her ability to manipulate people, as well as her mastery of various platforms to spread her messages. Most people can point to politicians, media personalities, or average people who remind them of her. Firecracker's brand of villainy showcases a far more human wickedness than Homelander, making her one of The Seven's most believable members. Knowing she doesn't believe everything she says makes her even more diabolical, and her history with Starlight does little to make viewers feel for her, especially seeing how far she goes for revenge.

I don't think she let Starlight beat her. All of the context clues point that she expected an argument, not a beat down. A beat down orchestrated by Sage. And, even if she did let her do some of it for the optics, she surely would have realized Starlight was killing her and put up some resistance when her life was on the line.

She's not as dangerous as Sister Sage, Stormfront, or Victoria Neuman for different reasons. Sister Sage is far more intelligent. Stormfront's powers are more formattable and she's more of a devoted fanatic. Victoria Neuman's powers are far too advanced and she's politically more savvy which allows her to sway public opinion easier.

I think the events were planned to happen this way; Firecracker was provoking Starlight at every turn, so that the on-air fight would happen. Vought posted a stage outside Starlight House, had a former rival of Starlight join The Seven, had Firecracker slander Starlight and then reveal that Starlight had an abortion: all to make Starlight lose her self-control and attack. Nowadays, nothing is more powerful to the media than being a victim. Sage planned this from the start with Firecracker, and I do think Sage is going to kill Firecracker off as a martyr.

Starlight played right into Sage's plan, and this season we will see Starlight either die or leave the show, as she and Hughie have Canadian passports.

I’m calling it now. Firecracker makes herself irreplaceable to homelander but will need to die to be the final piece in sages plan. Homelander already being turned against sage after events of episode 6, will freak out and brutalize sage. After that I bet any grand plans with the 25th amendment and subtly taking over the country will be thrown out for an all out war between supes and everyone else.
Powers and abilities? Kinda seems like she just has sparklers in her hands. Firecracker is weak as heck, starlight squashed her without even using her powers , just strength. Maybe she was taking the beating on purpose cause I don't think starlight is that much stronger than kimiko, if at all. Kimiko is pretty badass in my opinion.
