i need everyone to know that in the chinese dub, throughout the whole quest yanqing gets called 小弟 and 小弟弟 (xiao didi), which functions the same way as "young man" but feels more patronizing because it means "little boy/little brother".
and despite yanqing clearly being unhappy about it, he continues to address everyone politely and even calls jingliu 大姐姐 (da jiejie, big sister, although functionally it does mean "miss"). he's so cute
in the japanese dub, she calls him kozo, which is like a condescending way to address a young boy. and yanqing calls her jingliu oneesan in a pretty respectful manner so the JP dialogue is almost exactly the same then

Amalee did such an amazing job voicing Jingliu.

So basically that animation with Jingyuan and Jingliu was basically another Cyyu and amalee tech support collab.

In EN and in JP, Jingliu sounds more and more unhinged as the mission progresses... I LOVE IT. Oh gosh, now I want to know more about Blade...
The fact that Jingliu just had to swing once to unleash that slash while yanqing had to use all of his strenghth to deflect it shows how powerful Jingliu really is.
