The Bailu = Baiheng theories seem a lot more likely after this patch. The Alchemy Echo mentioning that Dan Feng incorporated new races into the flesh of the dragon, plus Bailu saying that she and Dan Hung might have known each other in the past. guess we might find out more with Jingliu and Luocha's plans next time.
I was so hyped when they mentioned all that, specially incorporating new flesh to the dragons blood
There's also a good chance that Bailu might be the "draconic abomination" that was slain by the Quintet. It could be that the draconic being was rebirthed into Bailu. Dan Feng must've appointed Bailu as High Elder for a reason, and the fact that Bailu has a half of Dan Feng's power and High Elder authority would be a good enough reason.
Unfortunately Bailu was never raised to be High Elder.
Absolutely. I've always believed that theory.
It sounds much more logical and made more sense. There's even a leaked dialogue between jingliu(confirmed) and Danfeng(high possibility) that further confirms his crime just to revive Baiheng, but the whole plan backfired.
So if i understood it correctly Dan Feng kind of "created" Bailu?

the echo mentioned having other races partaking in the flesh of the dragon, and Bailu seems to be the only one who has a dragon tail, what other race has an oblivious animal tail...

@@kruxifer8647That implies that Dan Feng mixed with a Foxian. Which only goes to elevate the theory that Baiheng is the "Beloved" that Dan Feng was trying to make immortal. Through the Transmutation Arcanum, he might've done something to allow himself to procreate with Baiheng, which is why Bailu has an actual dragon tail.

This is what I understand on this quest...
one, the Transmutation Arcanum has the power to give life, does the possibility of the high elder being reincarnated, but it doesn't mean it always has to be reincarnation, if it did have the power, why not birth new life
two, the way Dan Feng did it, is that he created a monster through the transmutation and the heart, to give back the Vidyadhara its reproduction capabilities (so they can finally procreate with other species)
three, this is proven to be possible because of the research of that mirage echo
four, for me it's weird to use a corpse (Bai Heng) to create new life, especially Dan Feng wanted the Vidyadhara to escape or at least not depend on the reincarnation cycle, so I would rather go that Bailu was indeed born when the monster was destroyed without any need of another person
five, since the ceremony got interrupted or something went wrong Dan Feng's power divided into two, one to Dan Heng and the other to Bailu
I wish, when we finally have Jing Liu and Blades companio quest it focuses on what happened to the Quintet.
Baiheng did not leave behind a corpse. Dan Heng IL profile said she only left a bit of fur and blood behind after she suicided to kill the enemy using something that sounds like a Stellaron. He could have used her genetic materials mix with his own dragon elder blood, considering that his profile framed Baiheng's death as her saving him from being killed by the enemy. He probably felt guilty and tried to revive her. leaks from Jingliu's content next patch also support this notion.

What if Bailu and Danheng were both reincarnation of Dan feng but got seperated into two beings.
I lean toward this theory more than Bailu being the reincarnation of Bai Heng.
@@aikeokieThere's also the smallest opportunity that Baiheng is the "Beloved" mentioned in Dan Feng's backstory, which would mean Bailu is quite literally Dan Heng's child.

i assume both bailu and dan heng are supposed to become the reincarnation of dan feng. yet somehow the process made both of them. while dan heng carries the memories and the power of destruction dan feng has, bailu have one that heals. i don't understand how but there they are, sharing the bond. it's like two birds in one stone. but in different perspective.
@@marugilchibi4435Makes sense actually. In Blade's background story says that Dan Feng used his water to go along with his spear techniques as well as to rejuvenate his allies.
@@marugilchibi4435 It probably has to do with the Transmutation Arcanum disrupting the high elder succession, causing Bailu to only inherit half of Dan Feng's power.
Though seeing Bailu now, it might've been a good thing that she never got her hands on Dan Feng's destructive power.

@@nightday2030 That's quite literally what happened- Dan Feng invoked the Transmutation Arcanum to let go of his immortality only to create a draconic abomination.
The theory goes that something went wrong with the ritual and that Dan Feng only ended up splitting his power in half. The fact that Dan Feng appointed Bailu to be High Elder almost confirms the correlation does have meaning.
So this quest confirmed 2 things,Dan Feng "mixed" the dragon race with another one through the transmutation arcanum which resulted in an abomination,also that Bailu and Dan Heng were possibly friends in a previous life
I do have the idea that maybe the Abomination when it died it somehow started to reincarnated and became Bailu, being the reason why Dan Feng entrusted Bailu as the High Elder, as it seems that she was put into that position since hatching from the egg.
@@proximaeon it's possible,maybe Blade and him used the transmutation arcanum on Baiheng after she passed in order to bring her back since she was probably Yingxing's beloved,but obviously a foxian and a Vidyadhara are probably not compatible and the whole transmutation process went south, brought baiheng back to live as an abomination and made Blade immortal (thus he hates Dan Feng) after all that the monster was probably killed and thus Bailu was "borned"
