Good vid guys, just inherited a pickup from my Dad that my Granddad bought new. Its a 69 Chevrolet C20 Camper Special which is largely different than this one, but ts cool to see someone fixing up a pickup instead of another muscle car.
Love any episode that you work on Col. Mustard! I was mistaken before...my cab mounts are fine. It's the rubber bushings that are shot. They look like month-old meadow muffins. Love the new cameras and the production, also. Looks next-level. Can't wait to see part 2.
Jeff & Cam.... Nice video guy's.... With the exception of the Grills ,,, the removal of the complete frontend sheetmetal is the same from '67 right threw '79 .... The outer sheetmetal shape was the big change...
Why not just pull the front clip off as a whole unit? If I remember right you can remove the bolt behind the door, under the fender (near the cab I think), the 3 bolts near the hood hinge and the front body mounts.....then the whole front clip comes off in one piece. Saves a lot of work and less parts to loose.I may have forgoten a bolt or two but that's the jist of it.
I wish that I had this info years ago.....could have saved my dads truck!....and hey...a few performance upgrades ain't so bad! (seen the video of the dude dragging with the 79 camper special) anyway....looking forward to the project Vida and keep up the good work! oh yeah and I'm still pushing for the next project to be a full-sized Ford 57-61!
They are called this due to the shape of the metal of the Body Lines, were the Trim is mounted on the sides of the Truck....'67 - '72 it is raised outwards.....Thus, "Bumpsides"... The '73 - '79 Trucks are called, "Dentsides"...Due to the fact the Body lines where the side trim is, is Sunken in .... Hope this helps....
Sometimes I can't tell in Premiere where the volume will be when it hits TH-cam. is it a volume issue or a style issue? We are also trying a new service for music and the stuff we picked was a bit "heavier" than normal. I try and pick music that "goes" with the situation, we did "heavy lifting" so the music is a bit more driven. Thanks for the input.
Thanks for all the videos keep it up! Working on a 76 f100 we share the same ideas...

We'll be replacing the cab mounts too.

I always err to the side of Series. I've never dug into a Dent so I didn't want to say that.
total understand that....
That is actually a very clean F100. I drove from Ohio to South Carolina to purchase my '72. I've been working on it ever since. I could use your help!
LOL So could we! There will be a good bit on this truck for a while. We'll be doing other things in the meanwhile but the Col. will be a top feature.

Hey, if I fit those trucks better we would! Never know though...
It's all the might as wells that add up . .
Fo sho.
How in the world are you supposed to get that inner fender bolt out WITHOUT a right-angle electric impact?? Great episode, by the way!!!
I just used my smallest ratchet wrench and an extension
I'm glad my cab mounts are not that bad
Our were awful
@@AutoRestoMod I bet they look like it
YES!!... BIG solid roller!! LOL
You can build 2 Chevrolets with all the extra metal and bolts Fords have.
HAHAHAHA
Hello, can an internal fender be adapted from a 74 to a 71?
Thank you!
Probably not. The body styles are way different.
What no grill jokes like Vinnie did with the Mustang. By the way what and how is Vinnie doing, He was good
LOL Come on, there was a Friday reference! Vinnie is now working for a company that keeps him busy enough that we can't seem to get a schedule square.
if you mentioned this before I missed it, why are these trucks called "Bumpsides"?

It does, thanks!
The '61 to '66 trucks are called "Slicks". I think that the '58-'60s are called "Bricks".
Gotta love Habor Freight Sockets....
Yep. Cheap and cheerful! Aaaaalllllll the pretty colors....
gentlemen, electric rachets 😂
love the show, but you got a bit heavy on the music, its maybe just me..

I like the music added in. Wasn't too heavy for me. Ha
