Hm, while it's a cool run and all, very nicely done. One thing disappointed me quite a bit. No alligator. So apparently this run had been "prepared" by a run where the gun was used. It's been a while since I knifed my way through RE2, but if memory serves, the alligator will come back in scenario B when he's chased away in scenario A rather than blown up. I know it's a stupid hard fight, by far the most difficult in RE2, but at the same time, a knife only, no damage should kind of have the gator in it.

@@Kullen64 no, it's the same as in canceling to force the weapons to shoot faster, majority of the guns have it. the knife also has it it's not lightning fast, but its very noticeable. The moment Leon or clear drags the knife close to their stomach you have to hold X while tapping R1; it's a little tricky, but it's fun to do, once you get the hang of it. Also I've been playing this game for the past year on how to do different strategies throughout game. I've been trying to do a special knife run and have figured something out; there is a certain pattern which you have to knife a zombie in order for the zombie to fall and leap towards you to get an instant head smash that way you won't spend a lot of time slashing away even with the quick slash it's still somewhat slow, but I haven't completely figured it out yet, I am very close, there is a certain way to slash them to leap towards you for an instant head smash and if you press 20 - 30 buttons with in 2 seconds regardless of Leon gets bitten once; you take little to no damage and it is very cool, but sometimes and only sometimes it's hard to get that head smash. I wish I had a computer and an emulator so I can post on TH-cam, but I don't...

Even dping knife only runs probably helped with running this since all it requires is knowing how to manipulate the enemy AI like the lickers id imagine that took some time while Mr.X all he did was bait a quick punch as X will always follow up with an overhead smash. Super X was merely ring around the rosie with a giant pissed off tyrant until Ada threw down the rocket launcher
@@SHADOMEGA7569 Have you ever knifed this game, or just done a speed run? It's not that simple. There are quite a few of the enemy mechanics that lets you repeat patterns, but at the same time, there's enough RNG crap to make it very unpredictable - and that goes for the Lickers as well.
Apparently the run was "prepared". Had Claire A been knife only as well, the gator would have been there. Very nice run, but a bit disappointed about the gator missing.

To be fair that would be impractical. The knifing in RE2 isn’t as fleshed out as it is in RE3. It’s fun to do but not fun to watch.
