An integral part of the practice of meditation as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda and his line of gurus is to place the attention and gaze gently at the spiritual eye-the single eye of intuition and omnipresent perception at the Christ (Kutastha) center (ajna chakra) between the eyebrows.
The deeply meditating devotee beholds the spiritual eye as a ring of golden light encircling a sphere of opalescent blue, and at the center, a pentagonal silver-white star.
“At first when you look into that space it may be only darkness,” says Brother Chidananda as he begins this powerful guided meditation to awaken the divine light within, “but behind that darkness is the light of the soul, the very presence of Spirit in the human form.” He then leads a visualization of the spiritual eye and uses the words of Rabindranath Tagore’s chant “Light the Lamp of Thy Love” to illuminate how the transmuting power of the spiritual eye can permanently uplift our lives.

Just this weekend I pulled out Lesson 12 The Spiritual Eye, and started doing the “Visualization of the Tunnel to Eternity” exercise and as I was trying to read and do it, I thought to myself “I wish I had a guided meditation of this exercise. Apparently my beloved 💗🌹 guruji heard my hearts desire and within a few days sent me this guided meditation by our own Bro. Chidananda.
