FLYFANS K-8 RED FALCON MAIDEN IN 6S VERSION by Fat Guy Flies RC

Well this is the Flyfans K-8 Red Falcon 6s powered , I had the 4s version of the Flyfans K-8 Red Falcon but I sold it since I found it to be underpowered and anemic. I just wish I had got the 6s version from the get go, and it is the same price!

Well the 4s version was an OKAY plane, but this 6s version is a great plane!

Maidened mine yesterday with a 6s 3300. Perfect everything, what a bird! Mine makes an super-cool whine on fly-bys. Great buy.

i glued a piece of perforated shelves liner on the battery tray to prevent battery from sliding back and forth, it is easier than velcro

I got the 4 s version as it's my first jet, she likes a bit nose heavy..
She's the sloest airplane i got ..❤

As far as edfs go yes it is on the slow side.

Hey there; maiden my K8 the other day twice on good 2600mah/45C RoundTop batteries. Experienced both time the plane motor loosing all thrust at 3 minutes half throttle with 65% battery capacity left over on both batteries! Basically dead-sticked the plane in twice, had BEC still as the plane was controllable, yet no thrust! Both times I experienced the same experience at about 3 minutes/half throttle most the flight. It's as if the ESC died/over-heated (but at half throttle?) It doesn't make sense, never had this happen to me before... Charged up one of the batteries full charge and ran it for 5 minutes on the deck, never experienced thrust-cut-off at 3 minutes and finally shut down at 5 minutes with plenty thrust at 25% battery left over! A total mystery for me, never had this happen before. Oh also, ran both these batteries on a 6S Banshee for 3 minutes to storage charge capacity, the battery's check out 100% good, think it's an ESC failure, but cannot duplicate, any ideas there for me? Thanks

Did you calibrate the ESC? That is the only thing it sounds like. like there is a set kill time on the ESC.
