I printed few small models and I only have a comparison with an LCD printer (Elegoo starun 1 ). I think that mars4 is more acuracy print but sometimes it is harmful :) Next benefit is that exposure time is in bigger range for same print quality (currently i have set 1,7sec for 0,035 mm layer). Problem is that i don´t know what material elegoo use for release film in vat because tearing layer from wat after exposure is very noisy (in default print profile on test model from original flash disk ) and still noisy tearing after slowing lift speed. About Mars4 dlp vs. Photon D2 .. i choice Elegoo because is cheaper than Anycubic and I think they are made of almost the same parts 🤔 Finally let everyone choose what they like better :)
This printer use DLP for projecting ,,object" to bottom resin vat (instead others sla printer where uv light masked with lcd display under vat) and is therefore use here lens and mirror for optimal distributing uv light on the bottom of resin vat. From factory is adjusted and normaly not needed any adjusting. I use graph paper for verify quality adjusting (same size sqares in all places and straight lines). If lines are crooked or distorted it means there is something wrong and is needed adjust lens or mirror. But I DON´T RECOMMEND ANY INTERVENTION IN THE OPTIC SYSTEMS (easy make it worse or damaged ). :)
I found here: www.hiwin.cz/cz/produkty/linearni-vedeni/mazani/195_mazaci-tuk-hiwin-plo-05 or here www.hiwin.us/products/hiwin-grease-guns/#series here you found information about this grease. Manufacteur of THK linear rails have similar grease but i don't know type.
Hello everyone! I would like to share with you my experience with lubricants: Always lubricate linear guides and trapezoidal threaded spindles with a silicone grease, as this lubricant does not resinify. Before that, brush all the above parts with silicone oil and a brush that is very fine and does not shed. Alles andere wie im Video gezeigt !
Silicon oil/grease probably better that nothing but I donť think that is ok. For leadscrew is probably ok, because it is from stainless steel and nut is from plastic, but PTFE based grease is more abrasion resistant and less greasy (dust does not stick to it). However use silicone oil for linear rail is bad idea. For lube carriage (internal) is not appropriate and surface lubrication of the rail is useless because some internal grease still leakage from sealing on carriage and it preserves the rail. If you use different types grease for same place (rail) you risk damage -> mixing = degeneration lubricating characteristics. About resin vapor inside chamber, it is not good for any types of lube and therefore it is better once in a while wipe old grease and apply new.
This video.scares me. I've only just received my Mars 4 DLP today and I want to get it setup. After watching this I'm unsure were to start. I have never printed in resin and looks like this printer needs lubing before use?
Have you gotten a chance to make some prints with it? I’m debating if I want to pick this up or get a Photon D2.

I didn't understand how the focus works

I'm having a hard time finding the Hiwin PLO-05 grease online. Can you point me to a site to buy it or a similar product? thanks!
