It’s a crime that this band still doesn’t receive the amount of massive recognition they deserve. Been listening since their initial EP in middle school and I’m 30 now.

great band,singer sings the truth,music is done very well too!love em!I saw them @ Candys Apartment in sydney and they were brilliant,i chatted with them after the show,Kym(singer)was a lovely humble fellow, a breath of fresh air in a world so cold.big love to the whole band,really rockin,every release is great.

Late comer to DLC but have quickly become totally addicted to every single song. Pure passion in every lyric, every note is absolute brilliance.
That bridge when the drums come in at 2:40 is just awesome! Sounds very Karnivool-ish...and I mean that in a GOOD way. I've been looking for more bands that have a similar vibe to Karnivool.

In Chicago, generally, we love our Rock Bands (Chevelle, Disturbed, Cold, Tool, Perfect Circle, Breaking Benjamin, Trust Company, etc) BUT I have NEVER been so more In love with these Australian Rock Bands.. They just bring a new ORIGINAL Flava to Rock such as these guys here and Karnivool, birds of tokyo, the Butterfly Effect and the Mayan Factor.. I not only tip my hat to Australia but I bow to such art work!

I met Luke, the drummer, at a Shpongle show tonight. He was standing by himself because the rest of the band didn't want to come, me and my friends came talked to him and I'm glad we did, he's a very interesting guy. Loving the sound too, love to all
Finally get to see this video...i was at the location when they were shooting this video and watched a few takes...i liked the song so much i went out and bought the album.
I was fortunately introduced to these guys when I saw them live with Fair to Midland on December 4th. Not only does the lead singer look like a combination of Robert Knepper, Jim Carey, and Abraham Lincoln, but both bands where outstanding.

@LoganTotallyz I talked to them after the show in Minneapolis saying they need to come to the US more often than every 3 years. Kim and their road manager said they will "most likely be back in March". This was in early December so hopefully it holds true. Then we did a shot of tequila. I was very happy.
Guys, one thing that really is a let down is when you try and compare bands, saying "this band sounds like this more popular one" it really does not matter. They sound like dead letter circus to me, and that is perfect.
Love this video through and through. I love the mood, the colours, the styling. The song is killer. Well done DLC, you rule!

i dont care for cog or Karnivool.... but Dead letter Circus are a great band still loving them after 2 yrs.

Heard this band prob. In 5th grade ....didn't know the name just heard an awesome song shuck in my head for weeks and now again in high school it comes in a dream!!!!!!woah :O ...with lyrics and everything , had to search for hours finally found it and it was totally worth it !!! My life is now complete , I can die happy :D

As someone who really doesn't like 99.999% of electronic music, I'm not sure I really get the hate on this song for having some drum/key sounds programmed in the background. They didn't do that because they can't play instruments, they did it for that specific sound to add to the palette of this song. You know DLC are quality musicians so trust that if they're gonna use digital sounds they'll use them tastefully! This shit ain't skrillex (thank the lord)

I've seen something like this before, I was at a bush doof in a state forest near the blue mountains, there's was psy-trance being played on some generator run tables and at like 5 in the morning a fog picked up, mixing with the smoke of the camp fires and it looked so much like this

....just listened to this song for the first time. ive payed music for 25 years and this song gave me goosebumps. You have to listen to it all the way to the end. THESE GUYS ARE COOL. if YOU like bands like A Perfect Circle and Karnivool you should listen these guys a little....

this video was based apon one of kim's (lead singer) dreams, the lazers and lights are meant to resemble a ufo or something along those lines, they made it in the middle of the bush somewhere and some person seen all the lights and fog and called the cops because they thought there was an illegal rave goin on, haha dead letter are brilliant in every way

Really Cool song, very creative and definitely not boring. Interesting lyrics too, I like how he is singing about your life being like a cage, but he describes it as a perfect cage, not an ordinary cage. A perfect cage can be worse because it's more difficult to escape, it traps you. Simultaneously it sounds like he is saying that the real you is also outside of that cage, a huge part of being free is being yourself, which is the real you. So basically being inside the cage is totally pointless, also because if you're not yourself what's the point in living. That's why escaping the cage is the only thing that matters, everything else is vain.

Wow I'm not normally the type to stumble upon bands that I can't help but keep listening too... Considering I'm so heavily into electronic genres such as dubstep and trap.
But I've listened to this song so many times now. Something magical about these lyrics. Vocals are so catchy can't help but to sing with it! (: great track!
