Aussie music is in a good place with bands like Dead Letter Circus and Karnivool. Freak'n awesome, epic bands at the top of their game and they're right here in oz. The music industry needs a hard kick in the arse and these bands can give it...... And to hear it live is icing on the cake. How sweet it is....

this is the 5.1 channel version, i can tell this because the drums are cancelled out at 1:10...it happens when i listen to the retail CD in my car stereo, the rear channel disappears and i'm like WTF LUKE! WHERE DID YOU GO? Also this video seems to be done with the same program that Cameron Gray used to generate the people for his artwork on the album. Interesting ending too :P
@Comorasta really? I'm a long time tool fan from aus... i remember seeing these boys when they were playing local RSL's with Cog and Butterfly... and they weren't huge.. it's amazing how far they've come
so in australia u dont just have merc (the best rogue ive ever seen imo) but also good music. wish i had known that sooner (joking who hasnt heard of the butterfly effect) , i've been listening to this band non stop for 2 days now and i can honestly say I LOVE THEM
@surfrusty12 I see where you're coming from in regards to Alien and the Drum/Design duo...but music doesn't really *need* to be unconventionally structured to be *good*. The melodies and the overall sound of DLC's music is unconventional enough, they're a breath of fresh air as far as I've heard; no band that sounds quite like them. But while i have to say that their few 'progressive' structured songs are more rewarding on an intellectual level, I still LOVE the feel in their usual stuff :P
@parkwaydrive17 if you like their sound, listen to Porcupine Tree and Tool, both are prog acts, but way more proggy... Porcupine Tree have lots of ambience and is very "layered" and Tool is more obscure and very conceptual. btw I went to a PWD concert some weeks ago, they are amazing live
