I used to have a friend who still lives there. She would say she had to deal with druggies harassing her while walking home, some gang violence, and general despair.
Where in Elizabeth does she live? I routinely pass through Elizabeth from NYC in order to commute to work at the west shore of Staten Island on my scooter from the train station. I do feel fearful if I must pass through Elizabeth at night when my work schedule changes this coming winter!
Are you from Union Co ? Do you remember Elizabeth Hospital out by highway 1 + 9 ? It wasn't replaced. People from Elizabeth, Linden, Rahway, the EMS would go there. Where to now Rahway Hospital ? Great disservice.
@@NewJerseyLivingUC I was born at Elizabeth General. There always seemed to be employment available. Apartments are pricey. Getting a mortgage is the best option. Its a tough game/move these days. I'll call you Jr. , short for Donald Trump Jr.
I was born in the "port" area of Elizabeth in 1952...There were 3 hospitals in Elizabeth...Elizabeth General Hospital...Saint Elizabeth's Hospital and also Alexian Brothers Hospital they combined to form one huge hospital...Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
Looking to move to Elizabeth as a single person(Electrician). How is the work force with trades?

Thank you for the comment! We are referring to the “Jersey Walk” development. It use to be the old Elizabeth General Medical Center
