If you don't live in Clark, don't be a Jerk and criticize it! We have Tons of activities for Seniors and Kids! Township services are second to none!

    I am a resident of Roselle and I've lived here for 24 years. We do love living here. I think I live in one of the nicer areas of the town. We're within walking distance from the mini mall. When we bought the house my backyard neighbor was a golf course, but just a few years ago it was sold and they built a huge apartment complex so it doesn't feel as suburbanite as it used to be. You're right that the schools here suck. I was so happy when my daughter got into Votech high school, which is an excellent school. You're also right that the taxes are ridiculous. When we bought the house the monthly mortgage was higher than the taxes. Now the taxes cost almost twice as much as the mortgage. Once we pay off the mortgage we're not going to feel much of a difference.

    Clark shares similarities with neighboring towns such as Linden, Rahway, and Cranford. However, there are concerns regarding racial discrimination within the community. It is noteworthy that the median household income in Clark is comparable to that of its neighboring towns. Stop hyping up this Racist Republican town that benefits from liberal policies that help fix their infrastructure

    • @chamberlainalex1
      @chamberlainalex1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A lot of the reputation isn't really that valid anymore. It's 40% Democrat, which for the area is below average, but if you put Clark in Oklahoma, it'd be considered a pretty heavily Democratic town. Heck, if you put it in Hunterdon County it would be considered way less Republican than those around it. Most of the Republicans here are Boomers and older, and the really old ones are dying off. Would actually be great to attract even more younger, moderate to progressive people to tilt the balance. It's an okay town right now, not great, not awful, but because of the location it could actually become super nice if more young people moved here and changed the voting demographic by even 10%.

      Depends on your definition of white. It's only like 82% white but also, 12% Hispanic with almost all of the Hispanic folks counted among the white population. I don't think actual racists consider Hispanic people to be white. It's actually more ethnically diverse than Cranford or Westfield, just less black folks specifically. But also less non-Hispanic white people too.

      @@JohnIann it's also not that racist, the town government is corrupt and very few people vote in municipal elections, really only Boomers who've been here forever. But you meet the under 50 crowd, just normal people same as you'd find in Cranford and Westfield, it's just that the younger you are, less likely you are to vote especially in municipal elections that no one pays attention to.
