I love how you sell yourself short then make these amazing looking dishes. it really helps with giving viewers confidence in trying some more advanced dishes.
Ah, yes. A favorite of mine growing up was always apples & sausages. My mom would go for the easy and cheap, buying one kielbasa sausage and a can or two of apple pie filling. You just slice up the sausage, cooking it in a pot till both sides of the diced sausages are cooked, then add in the apple pie filling and stir till its all warm. I still like to eat it every now and then as an adult. And the idea of warm apple bowls...mmm... ^_^
World of Warcraft is a great game, so i'm glad that the cookbooks measure up to the game itself, with all the different regions and races there is plenty of inspiration to write a dozen cookbooks.
next time u make the sailors pie saute the carrots with the leeks, trust me it will soften them up and be better. If you boil them with the taters they will lose some flavor.
I'm not even into World of Warcraft but these recipes you selected look good and simpler than some of the other cookbooks you've posted about on this channel. :-)
I’ve been binging your videos and I decided to try making those dumplings because they sounded soooo good. I had to buy liquid smoke to mix with salt and substitute the savory for basil (could not find dried savory anywhere), but oohhhhh my gosh it’s SO GOOD. Absolutely worth hunting up and down the grocery store to find the liquid smoke. Thank you so much for showing off this dish!!
Yum!! They look amazing! And yes Apple is so good in anything. I’d suggest making apple jam! Japanese curry? Roll cake? Sandwich? Apple jam can do it all :)

I was debating whether to do the Sailor's Pie or the Steak a la Mode. The steak looks way too cool not to try so I'm definitely gonna give that a shot one day
do you somehow time these all to finish around the same point, or do you have to go and microwave/refreeze each portion of it? I feel like there's an obvious answer that I'm missing haha. love the videos!
Thanks! Yeah I try to time it so that they finish at around the same time but if I miss the mark, I reheat it a bit on the stove or oven to warm it up again 👍
I feel like we're learning that the difference between a decent-at-best fantasy cookbook and a truly good one is whether or not they give you a regional spice mix. I recently got the Dungeons & Dragons cookbook and it's very "medieval food with a fluff description about how you can make it with halflings". And also oddly heavy on the plum sauce. I kinda feels bad to read a fantasy cookbook and say "I've made at least a third of these already".
Yeah I totally feel what you're saying. I still wanna try the D&D cookbook but I also expect it to be just medieval food with a slight variation. I find that's been the approach for the high-fantasy themed cookbooks that I've seen
I read the author credits and all three authors are skilled D&D fantasy authors with a long history of good work. But none of them have any history in any other form of cooking or cookbook. If you do get around to it, the biggest one that I view as both different and "I really want to make this" is the "Deep Gnome Trillimac Pods", which seems to be some form of mushroom+cheese pie with wonton wrapped as the crust.
careful timing and preparation, your foods should be close to finished at the same time to each other so that they do not leave foods cooling off in the process.
Yeah it's always tricky but I try to time it so that the dishes finish at around the same time. If not, I do heat up some of the food on the stove again if it's cooled down.
Do you think you could show us how to do the flaky pie dough recipe though? ive tried it and it came out tough and not flaky at all. i just can't understand the instructions :( i dunno
@@arriettyplaysgames i figured not, it's good as it mellows out the fish flavor a bit, which is good for anyone who doesnt like fish due to the fishyness.
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. Christ says in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] - (AMPLIFIED version) NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus. If you have any questions let me know
