If I remember correctly, the burnt edge transit is the result of making a cookie in during the dawning event with incorrect ingredients, so maybe it was supposed to be kinda gross since that’s what it is in game, a mistake
And both the ingame cookie and the recipe are jokes about a super common notoriously bad weapon, the edge transit. It became a meme because it was so easy to get that most people would get it dropping rather than whatever they were trying to get

Destiny is by far one of my favorite games and my girlfriend just got me this as a gift I'm so excited to try it out! Unfortunate about the salt level on that desert, when I heard you say two teaspoons I recoiled thinking it was going to be way too much and it seems that intuition was right. But honestly of the three, that's the recipe I'm excited to try the most, so I'll make sure to take it easy with the salt :) Thank you for the video!

Actually the presentation is the same as destiny, the game isnt your average futuristic game, and its more of a dystopia recovering from a fallout. They dont have cyber plates and silverware unless they accidentally find some.

For a semi-salty creme brulee for those who like a little salt with their sweet. I recommend using a small amount for the custard, as the recipe may dictate, then add a small amount of salt to the top along with your sugar before torching it.

It was a bit of a disappointment that the recipes chosen didn't really match Destiny's futuristic setting but if anything is going to survive into the far future I can accept that it was a recipe for fried chicken. 🤣 That Burnt Edge Transit looked amazing! I'd love to try to cook it myself some day.

Just gonna go ahead and tell you, your channel name alone gained my follow. The Destiny food was just a bonus. 😁 actually the best name I’ve seen for a cooking channel.
The reason why i love theese cookbooks is mostly the drinks, they remind a lot of when caffes would do collaborations with videogame and make character based drinks and recepies. Beside there's a lot less chance of them not tasting as good, the worst case scenario so far was one drink in particular wich ended up being and acual real official cocktail and it still tasted good.

Got this book for Christmas from my fireteam aka my sister and her boyfriend. I made the Tincture of Queensfoil blackberry tea. I steeped the tea too long and needed to dilute it a bit but it was pretty good. If I had to make an adjustment, I would have cut the sugar by half.
I've been making a few recipes from that book for a while now and I completely agree with your verdict, many recipes are great but call for too much salt or spices and need an adjustment. If you're ever to make more from the book I would recommend the Le Monarchs, those are so good! Though for my tastes I'm using about half the amount of Dijon, maybe slightly more than half

I feel like the burnt edge transit was intentionally salty. It was a bugged gun that would drop way more frequently than intended, almost every legendary engram would decrypt into an edge transit. It was getting on people's nerves. Then after a fix, the dawning event came out. If you used the wrong recipes while baking cookies, you got the burnt edge transit. I'm pretty sure the first one you baked was given to Master Rahool, the cryptarch. Aka, the man that decrypts all our engrams lol.
a good fried chicken is a simple mix lawrys seasoning salt and pepper put on a plate of flour put enough seasoning salt so theres a slight discoloration from the normal flour for the pepper just have it speckled about wash your chicken shake off a little water and drop it in the mixture pack the flour on the chicken once well coated shake it off and fry in a 1/2 an inch of 350 degree neutral oil for thighs and legs cook until the marrow starts to bleed its almost done once it stops bleeding the marrow should soon turn black at that point use a fork and go to the bone of the largest piece of meat and press firmly down the juices should run clear if not cook until they run clear

That Creme Brulee recipe is a perfect example of why it is important to specify the type of salt when using volume measurements.

This cookbook is one of my favorites, whenever an event comes around on destiny I try to make 1 or 2 recipes from that section

I feel like the burnt edge transit was intentionally salty. It was a bugged gun that would drop way more frequently than intended, almost every legendary engram would decrypt into an edge transit. It was getting on people's nerves. Then after a fix, the dawning event came out. If you used the wrong recipes while baking cookies, you got the burnt edge transit. I'm pretty sure the first one you baked was given to Master Rahool, the cryptarch. Aka, the man that decrypts all our engrams lol.

a good fried chicken is a simple mix lawrys seasoning salt and pepper
put on a plate of flour put enough seasoning salt so theres a slight discoloration from the normal flour for the pepper just have it speckled about wash your chicken shake off a little water and drop it in the mixture pack the flour on the chicken once well coated shake it off and fry in a 1/2 an inch of 350 degree neutral oil
for thighs and legs cook until the marrow starts to bleed its almost done once it stops bleeding the marrow should soon turn black at that point use a fork and go to the bone of the largest piece of meat and press firmly down the juices should run clear if not cook until they run clear

Thanks! If it helps, the book says "for most recipes, you can use equal ratios of gluten substitute for flour, but be prepared to modify the quantity just in case the consistency seems off."
