Thank you for sharing your experience and being transparent. I went to chamberlain for my BSN and failed out but went through the appeals process and was readmitted back into the program and came out with honors. I think I’ve honestly been putting off grad school being haunted by that failure so thank you very much ...your testimony had blessed me.

I enjoyed your video so much. It really gave me hope. I am at Chamberlain in the FNP program and am seriously regretting choosing this school. Your story helps me to realize if things don’t work out at Chamberlain it will not be the end of my plans to be an NP.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I have a 2.92 cumulative GPA my pre-reqs were 3.5ish. My science classes were more like 3.75. I Have 4 months left for my 9/11 GI -Bill and planning on going to Western Governors University for my ADN to BSN (trying to get it in that one term of 6 months). I have 6 years experience as a LPN in a long term care facility (Nursing Home) and 3 years as a RN Patient Care Coordinator in a Hospital (Inpatient Rehab). I had to withdraw from LPN to RN the first time and the next year I went back. In the 2nd semester I failed mother/baby by .3 points (school would not round up as I had a 74.7) and had to retake it again. I passed my Hesi with a 1087 3rd highest in the class, Graduated (had to make 80 and got an 94 on the final to pass), and Pass my NCLEX on the first try at 75 questions is where it cut off! I also passed the CATS test the first try with 5th highest in the class! I was making 29k/year and had a family to take care of with an autistic child. My wife is a stay at home mom and my last semester of LPN to RN I had to file for chapter 13 so i could keep my car to finish school. My school was rigorous and didnt teach to pass the core classes but taught how to pass the NCLEX the first time and be a great Nurse in field. I had other people I know who refused to go to the same school as I had and went to another school that pretty much gave them high scores in the core and they couldn't pass the HESI the first time or two! One girl had to take a remedial course to pass! They all wished they had went to the school I went to because they felt I was leaps and bounds ahead of them. After 6 months as an RN in the hospital I was offered a supervisor position as a PCC ( a nice 9 dollar pay raise). I make around 75K/year. I am 40 and looking for PMHP schools but the ones local (only 3 in my state of GA) wants a 3.0 and 2 want a 3.0 of my last 60 credit hours (My LPN to RN is a 1.97). I worked a full time job 40hrs/wk and stress out the ass!

I completed my RN-BSN at Chamberlain and had a great experience. I started the FNP program in November 2018, and everything is going great so far. Thank you for being transparent. I have anxiety every day with the thought of failing a class and being dismissed. I have a 4.0 GPA, but we all know that can change in a second. Don't give up on your dreams. You will be an FNP one day.

If we try our hardest that should matter the most. If your working your hardest, you know you’ve done the best you can do. F**k the naysayers

Hey sister...God is faith..IF you never quit, you will never fail.. My wife just graduated from Waldon..I will give you a heads up...Line up all your preceptors waaaaaaay in advance...4 to 6 months in advance..Line up more then one..cuz my wife had one then it fell through..then it was too late to find one for that semester...needless to say she had to take a extra semester..so line no less then 2 preceptors per clinical.

When u in school, it is not a time to start a new job because it is a lot of training and expectations plus school responsibilities. Sorry to hear of the bully. That happens a lot with this our nursing job. That is one thing I hate about this nursing career. And I am glad I am soon going to get away from the direct bedside. I will finish my PMHNP in May/2020.

WOW!! Young Lady, you've just described my experience with, yup, Chamberlain. I made it all the way to my last class(Advanced Assessment). I became very ill with Hypertension & Diabetes. Blah blah bah, got dismissed and appealed etc, to no avail.I only wish that I was near 30yrs old. I'm nearly 30 (X) 2. I even got my BSN from Chamberlain in 2016. I'm an old Diploma school nurse (graduated in 1986). I was probably in one of your classes. Baby, God Bless You in all that you do. Thank you, for re-vitalizing me for my journey to continue until I sign FNP behind my name. Like you, I don't want to loose too many credits in transferring, but, it is what it is. I wanted to write FNP by age 55, but looks like it'll be before 57. Whatever! Blessing upon you, little baby nurse. (Sorry it was so long). TLW

@@ebonimurphy7037 Because it's a for-profit school, is not known for any real research, only has offices, and had a dubious acceptance rate close to 100%. I wouldn't risk a graduate education on a place that takes everyone. The market is going to be flooded with NPs. Would you take someone from U GA, USC, Yale or this place? Seriously.
