Hey! I absolutely love your tutorials! Since the update to 3.0 a few of the Geometry nodes have changed and most who have updated are currently dead in the water. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do an updated version of your tutorials for 3.0 or maybe just explain the difference in what nodes Blender changed and how we can use the "new" nodes (if that's easier) to achieve the same results as 2.9. You're awesome brother thank you!

Even though I've used GeoNodes in a number of projects already, I've somehow never considered the "Points -> Volume -> Mesh" pipeline - this will come in very handy.
Great job on the tutorial as always! 👍

Why do you add an empty and parent everything to it for a simple rotation, so that you have to clear the parent and delete the empty afterwards??? If you just selected the objects and rotated them it would have worked the same as long as the pivot point isn't set to individual origins. Or to make sure they all rotate around the 3D cursor, set the pivot point to the cursor...

Alternatively, you can add a "position" node and plug that into a "Separate XYZ" node. Then take the "Z" factor and plug that into the color ramp and plug the color from the ramp into "Selection" on the Distribute Points on Faces" node. The color ramps lets you dial in how many points spread across the Z axis of the given object just like what's in the video.

I can't seem to get the lighting correct. I've tried gobos, several light combinations and even went back through some CG fast track tutorials and I can't seem to get the same lighting that you have.

The result is nice but this is not a really good tutorial. You should do a better preparation for teaching and making a tutorial video. It will help you make a shorter and better video
