Mini twists/braids worked for me when I left them in for longer periods of time! I aim for at least 8 weeks. As long as they stay hydrated and I manipulate as little as possible, the growth is crayzzzzy. Try to leave them in longer if you can :) It was hard at first because I love touching my hair, but I’ve adjusted lol
@@DatSmile1 Yes, I still wash every two weeks or so. But I do have the roots braided when wearing twists. I think that plays a factor in how long they last.
Definitely joining in on this! I’m already a month into my first set of mini twists. I’m still figuring out the maintenance part but I’m sticking with them and will not give up. Yesterday it took me 7 hours to retwist and I’m not finished yet and I twist fast. The tangles were just crazy after clarifying my hair so won’t be clarifying in them again.
You got this girl!! That’s good you can go a whole month. I’m two weeks into my second set in a row and I’m trying to decide if I should do a wash day or stretch it another week 🤷🏾♀️
How do you know which way to twist? I notice you changed the direction of your twists in some parts. This is my goal once I can get the style looking better.😊 You did a great job! Thank you.
I twist based on how I want them to fall on my face so I twist away from my face. So I have to change direction on the left and right side of face. That’s a good question and I will keep that in mind for my next tutorial.
Thank you so much . Once I take out my crochets . I will start doing Mini twits . I wants to get miro locs . But this is way better save money and time .😊
I’m on my 4 month! My hair grow so much! Taking it out in July and restarting the challenge. I wear wigs so I don’t get bored with my twist. I wash and retwist right after every month and I only finger detangle. If it gets too matted at the root try braiding it first and then twist. And make sure to include humectants into your moisture routine and a good sealant oil. Can’t wait to see the results :)
Yes I'm up for it! My go to🎉🎉🎉. Do you use mousse to set after? In august i will be doing braids as im going on a mission trip and that has always been the plan (dont wanna touch my hair part from a remoisture with a spray) but mini twists is something I've definitely wanted to do more of this year. Will be done at a salon cos they do it better lol but when i wash them I'll probably retwist anyway but anything new, back in the seat lol. My scalp will need a steam treatment every 2 months
@@Tyiece I've started already. This time she didn't use it either cos of time so they're a tiny bit fluffy lol but lovely look (you forget your hair grows when you don't really check lol) and stays loose for a wash then I'll fix up any after that if need to. For my birthday I'm getting a luxury scalp treatment so that means new twists anyway lol, she does it slightly different but they're always very neat

Wow I’m afraid of the frizz. I’ll try 4 weeks
Haha I don’t mind the frizz😅, but yeah if that’s a concern of yours, taking them out and re twisting will be best. Good luck on your growth journey!
Did you wash the twists? I just put a set in last week, but I'm not sure how long I am planning to keep them in

Watching this mini twist with that background music....so satisfying 😊😍
Glad you liked it!!

Yes that sounds like a good plan. Yes I’ve been using the Hawaiian silky 14 in 1 since it has glycerin as the second ingredient.
Yes, I can do a mini twist challenge 😁
Ok let’s go!!!
Maybe I should try the mini twist challenge with you aswell.... 😊
Yes this is going to be a real challenge for me because I’m a switch up the hairstyle type of girl
Same here... I regularly change my hair styles aswell.
We can definitely do it! Consistency and faith ❤
I’m in❤
Welcome aboard!!
Beautiful twists. Tfs.

I usually use mousse but I forgot to use it this time. You have a nice plan!! I like to leave my hair alone on vacation too.

Took you 4 minutes😮. I'm sure you meant hours.
lol yes hours. I wish it was minutes.
Lol
how long did it for it to grow
I’ve been growing it for 5 years with lots of trims in between.
