      Thank you Nilly! Next October when I remove the wire, ramifications will be 2 or 3 times higher (after candle pruning) and the branches will be free of wire and flyong natural, it will look really good. Cheers!

    Excellent!!! Loved the graft! Question...do you needle pluck the whole tree every year?

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Yes. It helps with balancing needle surface, shedding light on all buds so that they grow stronger, helps with wiring and removing wire, helps detect pests and discourage them to attach to the tree and lastly, uv falling on the branches speeds up aging. Plus older needles droop in autumn and that looks messy and bad. Cheers!

    Boa tarde,
    Excelente trabalho, e um excelente exemplar de bonsai. Simplesmente fantástico esse Pinheiro Negro.
    Gostaria de saber se ainda não está muito calor para fazer esse trabalho, é que em Portugal estão 30 graus? É posso fazer o masmo no pinus parviflora? Obrigado.
    Simplesmente espetacular o resultado final.

      Thank you Paulo! I'm glad you like itsince it is a weird tree and people either love it or dislike it. I am at a 900 meter altitude and the weather here it's quite cool, at night we get below 10 deg Celsius. And that is the most important. Even if we hit 30 at noon, the trees have a lot of cooler hours during the night to relax. Yes of course you can do that with parviflora. Although I would wait until day temperatures are lower than 25 or even 20. For Portugal you can do that even at the end of November. Cheers!
