Part 1 - Witches Point (Southerndown) in Oil on canvas - stage 1 - planning and blocking in.

In this oil painting I will cover the image selection, planning and laying down a base layer (with a dual purpose) for this one of Witches Point, famous in this area of South Wales, In Southerndown and near to Bridgend.
The first part of a small series I will make for this image showing the painting as it unfolds, The references taken on a windy cold day in December 2023 - perfect for this type of dramatic work!
