"How I painted "Rowing from St. Petka Church" Oil on canvas

This painting was a little surprising in how much time it took to "get it going", i.e. blocking in the basic shapes. There were a lot of separate bits and pieces to sort out, even with a drawing as a guide. But once I got going it was very enjoyable. I am still following the impressionist theme, and trying to keep in mind what they were about.
Very enjoyable, when the main is done, to add something in terms of colour that I like. Ah, the end is always nice!
This canvas has been created with, I think, a lot of thought, and interesting brush strokes, good colouring and I hope a good style.
Created in a how to paint or demo style, I hope that you will find this entertaining and educational
