    You saved me, the trick of adjusting it after trying it was clearly my problem.
    I can give an advanced tip: when the motor get too fast, error 21, when ok or maybe too low, error 27, so error 22 as well sometimes appears but it is kinda deceiving, so if you have this case, you have to tweak the motor screw at like halfway, and around that place you gently tweak it (if you will get error 21 again, you have just to invert to clockwise screwing), at some point, most of the times, your screen will go black after inserting the game, kinda like it is gonna play for real, but nothing, you will get error 27, AT THAT POINT, you have to tweak the spindle, follow the video and make the adjustments after the first spindle adjustment show in the video, and it will work, just be patient.
    Wanted to give my knowledge to thank this guy, i really hope that i will help someone with this!

    Thank you so much for this, it worked perfectly. Mine was working fine when I put it in storage 10 or so years ago, but I took it out and discovered it was throwing error 22. When I removed the disk interface piece, and checked the screw position against the "factory" divot, it was off about 120 degrees. But setting it back fixed Error 22 immediately for me. Rather than tightening and feeling for the divot, I found the easiest way to get it lined up was to remove the fixing screw and shine a light into the screw shaft until the factory divot was dead center of the hole.

    The problem with this method is that the factory position doesn't work if the belt comes off. When the parts move independently, without a belt, your factory position doesn't work, unless everything is completely lined up, the way it was before the belt came off. Also, most spindles don't have a dot on them anymore. They have rings from years of readjustment.

    I will be giving this A try. I have A stack of games that did not work on certain systems. Thanks!

      let me know how it goes. Even with this method, I find the thing to be very temperamental. Also apparently that copy of DDP decided to uncorrupt itself because after I did this, it saves now.

    Thank you! I was having trouble with a drive writing games, tuning it a bit more might make it write better!

      @@ITISWHATIS yes and no, it's aligned now but the drive doesn't properly reset. I'm gonna disassemble the whole thing and make sure the motors and spindle are at the right rpm

    Another thing you could do to help aid in the calibration. If you can take a up close photo of the screw. Before taking it off. Count the groves that stick out.

    i need a new ram adapter first, it is crashing after some seconds or minutes in bios. tried other cartridge games and they are working, so i my adapter is faulty i think. but thank you for this info, i will try it when my belts a arrived from aliexpress

    • @ITISWHATIS
      @ITISWHATIS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem! I'd try looking at the internals of the RAM adaptor. You might be able to find something wrong with it. Broken trace, faulty cap, etc. It'd also be a good opportunity to give the board an IPA bath.

      @@ITISWHATIS i am very good in electronics and programming. i believe that the asic/custom chip is faulty.

      @@SuperNeotendo That's tough. I had to deal with a chip swap not too long ago myself. At least RAM modules aren't too bad price-wise. Still sucks though.

    Sadly no dice for me I can get it very close where it'll give me the black screen but then I'll either error 22 or 27

      I can personally tell you that I've run into that issue too. What makes things worse is it could be a number of factors. Could be the disc, could be the motor speed, could be the size of the FDS band you're using, etc.

    • @FDS-Nat
      @FDS-Nat ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ITISWHATIS i found my issue, because i had a early modle it needed slightly more amps, after giving it 850MA instead of 550MA it worked just fine :)

    Didn't work for me. Maybe I was doing something wrong? But i tried adjusting it and it either didn't spin because it was too tight, or came undone because it was too loose

    • @ITISWHATIS
      @ITISWHATIS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Undone if I were to guess. Or the band came undone. Or the disk isn't pressing the switch.
      There's a lot of issues these can have.
