Hello from 🇨🇦 Canada! Excellent content and great entertainment! After seeing this video I purchased the Touratech (on sale!)and it came in the mail today. Thanks! 2019 KTM690 Enduro R
Cheers for feedback, really appreciate it. Yes I have the Puig too, but did not want to drill. Thought I’d try this first. Not ideal on 2020 bike as the fit isn’t perfect. But what I did not want was buffeting. It’s main job is to shield the GPS really. I’ve learnt no 2 people have the same response to a fixed screen. So far this is doing the job. In the summer I might go back to just stock as I like the smooth airflow. But, knowing me, I could easily end up trying a fairing at some point. 👍
Hello I like this windscreen and want to take the same for my bike. It is model 2023 and I hope it will fit. But on the official site, they don't have delivery to Europe. I contacted them via email - no response. From where did you purchase it? Thank you.
Hello. I do not think it is made any more. I bought it from Touratech UK. However I think if I was buying one now, then I'd look at Adventure Spec screens as they offer GPS/Usb options. So maybe try them. Good luck 👍
@CodgerBiker Thank you for the fast reply. Aventure spec one is too big and leaned forward, but for now, it looks like the only viable option without making holes on the front plastic.
When they came to England in the summer. Johnny said, ‘Hey Joey, what’s with all this rain shit? We gonna need a new outfit!’ I was there. I think Dee Dee came up with it. I don’t have the hat to go with it, you know how precious Johnny was about his hair, I think that went back to the States with him - gabba gabba hey (it’s peeing down) 😉👍
Nice one! Where can I get a t-shirt like that? 😉😂 I remember quite a few companies selling double bubble screens for sports bikes with the same rubber beading back in the day. I wonder if it's down to some red tape somewhere and they offer that as a solution knowing fine and well that you won't use it?
I agree. I glued a bit on for fun, just to see if it will blow away. But knowing me it's hard to say which will last longest, the rubber bead, or the screen itself. 😅😁👍
Are these discontinued? Can't find anywhere online , I'd like to buy one of these. Don't suppose you want to sell me yours 😊🫰. Ps I love near that big bridge in your videos 👍🏼
Hello! Not sure. I gave mine away a couple of years back as I fitted Rade Fairing. I think if I was doing it again I'd try the Adventure Spec screen/gps mount. Looks much less work and practical. Say 'hello' if you see us at J&S. Often there 👍👍
Well I’ve not done many miles yet due to covid. I did notice I was missing shifts when I first got the bike. I always wear mx style boots. They were getting stuck between the pedal. So I took the pedal off and rotated it a little so my boots now fit. Since then all has been fine... except hardly any miles due to Lockdowns. 👍
Just mounted one on a 2020. The real issue is the brackets bearing on the top part of the triple clamp. It's easy to fix. Put two small (14mm outside diameter x 1.5mm thick) washers between the mounting brackets and the Touratech-supplied spacers. This will push the brackets out 3mm on each side so they do not rub on the triple clamp. Before you tighten the triple clamp bolts, mount the screen but keep everything a little loose. Then tighten the triple clamp bolts first and the windscreen bolts last. If you have to loosen the top triple clamp bolts in the future, first remove the screen to relieve the squeeze on the triple clamp bolts.
@@CodgerBiker Take a close look at your bracket at the triple clamp. Are they touching ? I noticed that the brackets were rubbing on the top of the top triple clamp. That was causing an uneven force on the bolts. When I added the washers, it resolved that issue.
The acrylic tape was enough for short term testing, no marks. Longer term I've no doubt washers are better. Since then I have fitted a Rade Garage Fairing - see other vids on my channel. Both work about the same in terms of lifting the wind from chest/shoulders 👍
In the end I went with this, but it's a bit involved. Rade Garage K4 Fairing - Install KTM 690 Enduro R: th-cam.com/play/PLeqBZ9Sn4T5uHaOBTkA-2naseMp3WPDK9.html

Cheers for the shout out Codger.🤙
You are welcome! Love your bike, but I can see it’s gonna lead to me spending a lot more!!! Hope She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed isn’t reading this! 😁👍

Yes, it's not perfect for our bikes, but it requires no drilling - bonus! 👍
I m from Canada Qc, and when I go to TOURATECH Canada (moto motto) this part are not there.... how do you find.......
I installed the Puig on mine and am not impressed
Eventually I *might* go back to stock
Love the vids

KTM did one also. You have to drill the front plastics though. 👍

When did the Ramones switch from black leather Scott jackets?

The rubber is probably just optional trim.
And now I have Autobahn stuck in my head 😂
Option not selected 😂🤣
Fun fun fun of the autobahn! They’d obviously never been on the M62 👍
@@CodgerBiker stop it 😱🤯

I have the same bike. When you rip through the gears with the quickshifter, does your bike ever hit Neutral? It's happened to me a couple of times.

2022 SMC R between 5th and 6th, but if I am more positive and deliberate, works well. Big boots don't help but getting better as I learn the bike. .

Good information 👍 I used acrylic tape which worked okay too, though yours sounds a better long-term solution.

Will you share what other options are available. I’m interested in a very tall screen.

Did you push the forks through the crown to get lower? What about the rear?
All documented in my channel vids. E.g. here about 3 mins in. Kouba Link, Seat Concepts Low seat. th-cam.com/video/8jo8t9ALJ6E/w-d-xo.html
Quick question, why did you change from the 790 to 690
I explain here 👍: th-cam.com/video/TL-iF0B85o4/w-d-xo.html
I have a 2017 690 Enduro.... I cant find this product anywhere. Suggestions?
I got mine direct from Touratech website. Keep an eye on eBay also.

Try searching Touratech 01-370-1560-0 👍
Hello friend, could you tell me the height of the windscreen in cm? I am thinking of adapting it to a ktm 450 enduro.
