I feel like this wasn't really step by step... it started with steps and then trailed off. Would love to see a slower more detail tutorial since I don't really understand the reason for flipping the fabric or the whole glue situation. I did enjoy the end result just wanted to know a bit more about how to get there myself.
I think she wanted 2 different textures, the loops and the "embroidery" side hence she flipped it around to achieve that look. And she probably mod podge the whole thing to prevent it from loosening because it's quite easy to tug the ends and the whole thing comes undone, which is the beauty of needle punch art. Although the monk's cloth does hold the loops in place, it's still quite easy to take it apart and she probably wanted to prevent such a situation. I'm not an expert but I've tried my hand at needle punch art before and figured those might be the reasons why!
I remember the early punch needle tutorial, they all left out the glue part, and I just thought for a couple of years, why would people make things that can literally fall apart if you just pull on it. lol
Fortunately, if you use Opera or Chrome, there is an option to play the video slower or quicker than normal. The little wheel on the lower right corner of the video.
Ich habe heute voller Freude mein Punching ausgepackt es funktioniert nicht wie ich das mache. Wer kann mir sagen wie die Nadel richtig eingefädelt wird
Hover over the video, go to the three dots on the top right corner of the video, depending on the version of your TH-cam app or browser, you can adjust the speed. Some older versions don't allow it I think.

I was wondering about the glue part! Seems like a somewhat useless technique to me if it can't last on its own. I dislike glue :s
