MO in red beret is really cool. Can proudly share: "I can treat patients as well as doing airborne!"

the sg army should interview non-commanders as well. imo the experience is very different. do not assume that non-commanders are inherently unmotivated soldiers. everyone was just judged once at 18 years old.

      the "non-commanders" are mostly NSFs.

in bmt, when i wanted to apply to do ippt 1 more time to improve my score (85) , 3 of my bmt sergeants were all very discouraging and shouted at me "there's no f*cking point." , "you've already peaked" , "stop wasting your time" in my bunk in front of all my sectionmates. I told my sergeants that it's ok, I am sure that I can improve. One sergeant lashed out to me and said "if you don't improve I'll CONFINE you this weekend." I told sergeant that I can improve. They eventually allowed me to participate in the IPPT, and I did improve! 87 points. They all kept quiet after wards.. After bmt and eventually transit to command school, the treatment was still the same. still very uncaring and only care about their own. care for soldier? I think care for self only.

The one man that inspired me to carry on to higher heights as a NS Reserve was my Reserve Commander who shared with me that the highest achievement is to make sure that my battery survived the battlefield. Wow!

The first Commando trial medical team was formed year 1985, also the first Commando Bn exercise and involved. This is the first time that the 1st CDO doctor ( Dr Chia WC ), 1st CDO Senior medic is " Killer " Anthony ( formerly from 5th Coy ) in this Bn. Fyi

No minister from SAF from now on! We need leaders who has a real sense of urgency working in the private sector. Unless the our SAF leaders had fought in the Ukraine war, they are not tested at all.

How many deployment to Iraq or any warzone? A LCP in the US marine easily wins a Major in our SAF. A CPL in the US marine can call in airstrike. What can our LCP and CPL do? How about Major? Star rank general in the US take up arms and go to the frontline with the men. How about ours?

Should address the biggest challenge which is the exit strategy from the force. Regulars are not able to give up the comfort zone inside the force. Their mentality is very warped and rigid, not open to new possibilities

I think the short film 'Hentak Kaki' featuring Michael Chua represents just that.
