Apparently you can get a more positive version of this outcome. From the wiki: "If Astarion reconciled with the Gur, however, they join forces against Cazador and easily kill him sometime after the events of the game, and Astarion is living a free but secluded life as a spawn by the time of the Reunion Party."
I see a lot of people who use the phrase “Rare dialogue” in videos like these.. though most of the time they are dialogues that are just.. probably chosen less often. Stuff I have usually seen before. This, THIS is rare dialogue. I mean, how many people actually play through the game and just- leave Cazador alive? Very cool. I enjoyed seeing a dialogue I have actually never seen before, and genuinely never would’ve seen or knew existed had I not seen this video.
Thank you! I really don’t like it when people call that gorgeous painting you get from Orin ‘rare’, again, it isn’t rare, most people are not going to leave Zevlor to die in the belly of the absolute.
Kind of makes me want to do a douchebag run: get all your companions but complete none of their personal quests. Astarion is on the run from cazador forever, karlach is either damned to avernus or dies (and then iirc her soul goes to zariel), shadowheart presumably is retaken by the sharran cultists and mindwiped, laezel is still enslaved to vlakiith and labeled a betrayer at that, wyll is still trapped in his pact, and gale explodes.
On my first playthrough I beat Orin and Gortash before attempting Cazador. Once you defeat those two, the story implies that the brain will do something bad if you don't tackle the brain soon. I went ahead to the end game hoping I could come back for Cazador. I was gutted to find out the party just disbands instantly and Astarion had to spend 6 months in the sewers while my Tav and Shadowheart went on some Selunite mission trip. But I missed out on a lot in my first playthrough. I told Lae'zel to take a hike because she didn't seem to play well with others, so I never went to the Creche. Wyll died in the fight where he was introduced, so I never got him in my party. Since He never told me about Karlach, I found the "Paladins of Tyr" before her. They told me to kill the devil at the bottom of the hill, so I did. Mistakes were definitely made. I still feel a little bad about what happened to Astarion and Karlach, but I've made it up to them in many a subsequent playthrough.
I didn't know NOT killing him was on the table. I forget just how many choices you can make and how the game will notice. Just one of the reasons love BG3
I know AA is probably his worst ending considering he becomes another power hungry monster- but this is probably worse, for me at least. It's kinda everything he wanted to run away from. Alone, in the dark, constantly watching over his shoulder in fear that Cazador will find him.
Worst ending? Where he is now one of the strongest vampires alive? Who can walk the shadows, see himself in the mirror, no longer feel the hunger and can now travel and explore the world all his ETERNAL life? Yeah, sure feels like the worst ending to me. Living in the Underdark, the most dangerous place in Faerun, and turning into KFC from the single cleric/paladin/druid spell sure feels like a happy ending to me.
@@Deadpan_Snarker Are you serious? He loses his soul and becomes an abusive possessive clingy creep if you're romancing him. He damned SEVEN THOUSAND PEOPLE TO HELL, VICTIMS JUST LIKE HIM. @@ThatOne-s6gstop saying noncense. They are NOT PEOPLE!! They are hungry vampires and they are already dead. They must be sacrifices for good. And Larian proved that Astarion didn't lose his soul!
I saw this ending when I used debug book to get footage for videos. This is his bad ending..along with the endings where he leaves the party, the ending where you have to kill him, and the Zombie ending.
I feel like this is the only option, and where if you kill cazador without him he won't get angry with you because he can't face him himself. So I'm curious what happens if you kill him and then come back and tell him.
Honestly, you can do that, but like I feel like he deserves to kill cazador himself after 200 years and the loss of everything, it means to be a high elf for being a vampire spawn. I'd say he's well overdue to deserve that

Somehow I got this as a bug. Like I killed cazador and helped the gurs with the good astarion ending idk how it happened!
Id sell my soul for Cazador romance Inshallah
bro wtf 💀
Not sure where this is coming from but you do you girl/guy

Good for you bro
