- MUST WATCH for anyone who owns a Ford Ranger Wildtrak.This alarming video shows just how easy it is for someone to break into a Wildtrak roller shutter. Its seem this roller shutters slats in particular are joined with rubber which allow someone to slice into the tub within 30 seconds! Some people carry tens of thousands of dollars worth of tools and equipment around in these thinking that they are secure. THEY ARE NOT SECURE!

Just showed everyone how to break in, you can cut the normal covers as well.
This goes for other trucks with similar shutters, not just the Ranger. And re. the hard lid type, it is as easy to break in if that is what you want to do. Disadvantage with that is that you cannot transport anything with a little height. And the load area was never intended to be a safe even with some sort of lid on it.

Our intentions on this video was to help people make an informed decision.
It's not an issue, I've been using soft covers for years, this is the best option it's a retractable tonneau cover. If you want a hard lid - then buy a hard lid. Cant get the pigs or deer and the dogs under a hard lid. Then again most guys only use their utes on the road.

But will the top-up cover keep the bed waterproof and free from water entry into the bed. Coz it seems to look like having a space on the sides which can make water possibly enter the bed itself..please do reply coz i am deciding to have the best cover choice for mine.. Thank you.
Top up is good,i have my ranger done last month,strong cover and water tight and it has a gutterway bothsides and drain on fore end.
How is that more versatile than a roller shutter? How do you fit a lawnmower in it? How do you fit pellets in it ?

Now lets see you stand a tall fridge freezer in the back with the top up ? Security isn't an issue with a pick up because only an idiot would leave anything of value in the rear anyway, the roller shutter simply covers the load and with a small amount of basic security and weather protection.
Exactly. It is easier to smash a window than have a dedicated thin blade on you to piss around cutting the rubber

Possibly it would but you'd still be able to move it back atleast a hand width or more until the holder ran out of room. But defintiyl better then the manual ones.

And as if space with the shutter wasn't bad enough your cover makes room even les...not practical at all... Good luck loading a bike with that cover on there... No thanks... And maybe just promote your product without showing people how to break into our cars.

There are no benefits to installing a hard lid. I had one on a hilux and it was a complete pain in the arse. All it did was turn my tray into a giant boot and limited everything else I could do with it......Never again.
