  • My Walk to Remember (Diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer) Today I am telling everyone my story on how I got diagnosed with cancer. I have been knowing for about a month already and it's been very hard for me to do more youtube videos with out being emotional. I still plan on continuing to do more, so please subscribe and I hope you can follow me on this new journey. I want to talk about it because eventually you will be able to tell after starting treatments. I wanted to post it because I mostly want people to be aware of the symptoms. I want you guys to stay healthy and prevent this from happening to anyone else or urge someone who has similar symptoms to go see a doctor. This is a new chapter in my life that I am ready to fight... Thank you for everyone who has subscribed and I appreciate every single one of you 💜 #cancersucks #imakickcancersbutt

    My niece was diagnosed with colon cancer at 30. They did major surgery on her. Had to build her a new rectum. Went through many rounds of chemo. She then was in remission. Sadly it returned 7 years later. She was going to have more surgery but they did a scan and found she had spots on her lungs. She is terminal but fighting. She just turned 38. Still works as a nurse but still on chemo every 3 weeks. She is so strong. She says she will live life while she is here

      how early should a young person start colonoscopy as a early detection or preventative measure?

    • @roxie8700
      @roxie8700 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@laturista1000 ?:? It used to be age 50 that you started doing Colonoscopies to check for pulps or tumors. But in the last 20 years or so more younger people are being diagnosed with Colon Cancer.
      1) Know your family history. Is there any family members who have had Cancer? What kind and how old were they. That's very important information. If you have a history, see if your insurance will let you start colonoscopies at age 40. But if you have bleeding, have change in stool or trouble going to the bathroom, see a GI Doctor asap.
      2) Know your body! If things don't seem right, talk to your doctor about it! What might seem like nothing to you, might mean something else to your doctor.
      3) Alot of Pharmacies have a at home Test Kit for Colon Cancer. It tests to see if there is any blood in your stool. Not sure if you need a doctor's script for it or not. Check it out the next time you are at the Pharmacy.
      When in any doubt, talk to a doctor! You can also Google a list of Colon Cancer Symptoms Online. When found early, Colon Cancer is completely treatable!

      As a cancer survivor I strongly advice you to study all you can on your diagnose !
      Knowledge is power !
      Write down all sorts of questions you might have, for your next appointment.
      No question is stupid...
      Also ignore statistics.
      Those are based on other people's experiences.
      You are unique !
      Set your mind on survival. There's a war going on inside of you.
      It'll cause a lot of trouble, but do not surrender !!!
      (I had a couple of best friends who did. They're sadly gone).
      I'll pray for your survival and recovery. And keep you in my thoughts. 🙋‍♀️🙏

      I had thyroid cancer at 28, had my thyroid taken out and then had radioactive iodine treatment. Quality of life sucks sometimes, but I would never in a million years compare it to colorectal cancer. I lost my mom to colon cancer (stage 4) at the same time I was diagnosed with the thyroid cancer.
      There is a reason they call it a “good cancer”. Unless it’s anaplastic thyroid cancer it’s curable and very treatable even at advanced stages. I had absolutely no problem getting pregnant after having my thyroid removed and being put on thyroid hormone replacement treatment. Thyroid hormone adjustment during pregnancy was also pretty straightforward.
      I can’t say the same about cancer survivors who had to deal with far more aggressive cancers, such as breast and colon cancer. They go through so much more!
      That being said, I’m wishing you Vanessa a swift recovery and lifelong remission ❤️

      @VanessaLPZ1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      Hi Vicky, I understand where you are coming from. I do. But I don’t think she meant if in a bad way 💙 a lot of things can come across wrong through text than in person. I don’t like others putting each other down. But I understand. Be kind to each other 💛

    • @purebride8600
      @purebride8600 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      You are correct, I did not mean that in a bad way. And I would not have the faith in Jesus alone to heal if he had not spoken to me in an Audible Voice back in March 2000. He said, There’s divorce… There’s sickness… There’s poverty… Because people don’t trust Me’.
      I know according to the scriptures that when Jesus walked the earth, he healed ALL who were sick and oppressed of the devil. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever more. After they were healed, he would tell them it was their faith that healed them. It’s his power that heals us via our faith in him to heal. It’s impossible to please God without faith (in Him alone), those who come to him must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. He hears and answers the broken heart cry from the humble who recognize the need for him alone.
      God is faithful and true and NOTHING is impossible for Him. So when I pray for people, I pray that their faith would not fail 🙏
      Trust Jesus 💟

      I gleaned this info. from the phenomenal documentary Forks Over Knives that a 80% plant based diet is optimal for overall health. Another interesting fact is that we are all born with cancer cells and that animal protein accelerates cancer cell growth. You were wise to change the foods you choose to nourish your body with. If you haven’t seen Forks Over Knives already, I highly recommend it.

      I also had one for a year, it is nothing to fear! You just have to make light of it. I once woke up and realized mine had popped in the middle of the night and horrified I glanced over at my boyfriend at the time (I was 21) and he was wearing a white shirt covered in liquid poop! I tapped him on the shoulder very lightly, he went to turn to me and I put my hand in his back and said sheepishly, "I dunno how to tell you this, but my bag popped and your vack is covered in dodo" lmao. He rolled outta bed tryna look at his back and I could NOT stop laughing, which then made him laugh and it is one of my fondest memories still now that I'm 32 lol. I would overslept a few times that caused my bag to break, or be running laughing at my mom to bring me a new bag on the way to the bathroom.
      My aunty now has had a colostomy bag for years, she's 78 and is more active than I am! And they have new bags that release air gradually so you don't have them burst.
      No one treated me different at 21 with it, and I know it will take time to get used to the bag but if it means saving your life, don't worry about it!! 💜💜💜

    This year has been so hard. My mom woke up one night in August and said she had the worst pain in her leg so I told her please go get it checked out thinking it was a blood clot because she has had them before, then she was finally able to get an appointment in September, we found out she had stage four cancer but they couldn’t find where the cancer came from because it was already spread through her whole body. Then on October 23rd I had tested positive for Covid and I had a really bad case of the virus, then on November 3rd she was put on Hospice, I was finally cleared of Covid and I was able to bring her home to me which I was officially her nurse then she passed away on November 10th. I felt that I was robbed of not being able to spend more time with her because I have the virus but I did get the last 5 days with her. I slept by her every single day until she passed and just held her hand. It’s just been so hard this year. My mom was only 66 and her bday is December 2nd. Just had our first thanksgiving without her which was so hard but I know she is no longer in pain, but it still hurts. I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. I know how scared you must feel and the pain you must be going through. You are a mother so I know that must be one of the hardest things like how do you explain this to your babies. I had a sub-total colectomy & a j-pouch fashioned at the time, it was an incredibly scary & unknown path but what kept me grounded was listening to my specialists & not being scared to rely on family & friends. I’m now 54 & ended up having to get a permanent Ileostomy about 4 years ago & though daunting at first, it quickly becomes a part of regular life. I sincerely wish you all the best...my thoughts will be with you. xxx

      Are you suffering from colorectal cancer and you are still doubting natural herbs? I have seen the great importance of natural herbs in my life and the wonderful work they have done in people's lives. Thank you for talking about this.
    Passing blood is a huge red flag and not to be ignored. I was 31 when I was very ill and had been diagnosed with cancer but recommended I go on a holiday with my sister to Croatia. There were german tourists who were very nasty to me because I couldnt walk as fast because I was in pain. They thought I was faking it. Little babies get cancer.... saying you are too young is so ignorant and scary, doctors should know better. People need to be more understanding and listen. I hope you are recovering well xox
