How great is it to have a teacher who gives you a history lesson while pleasuring your palate with great food. I wish I could have went there on a field trip when I was in school.
She makes boring history lessons come alive. Her stories were enchanting and the food make her anecdotes memorable like mnemonics. Had she been my teacher maybe I would have gotten more into my dyslexic brain. LOL
This is out go-to place for anniversary and birthday celebrations. They have a great salad bar. I have been getting the jumbo stuffed shrimp with fried sweet potatoes. I can eat only 2 of the shrimp. They give you 6 on a plate. Around Thanksgiving they have the gift cards for sale. For every $ 100 card you get a $25 card. That is a gift you can enjoy all year long. They are located on the West side of Houston off I-10 West just inside the Sam Houston Tollway. Lunch time is always crowded so get there early or early afternoon.
I’m a true Texas historian , Moses Austin stole the land , I truly want to say all the Texans at the Alamo we’re squatting and it was still Mexico 🇲🇽 But a lot of Tejanos lost There land due to this infraction, a number of land owners lost their lands and oil and gas interest ,no dedication just truly means lost in history
False, the land was not being used by Mexico. The Mexican dictator Antonio de Padua María Severino López de Santa Anna y Pérez de Lebrón basically ignored all of that land and the people who lived there. Which is why the American settlers and even some of the Mexicans living there started to favor independence from Mexico. Mexico was all “stolen” land as well. It was a country created by Spanish colonialists, who eventually separated and made their own country just like Americans separated from England. History is full of winners and losers, but Texas wouldn’t be what it is today, the greatest state in the Union and the 10th largest economy in the world if it was still under Mexican rule.

I went there in about 4th or 5th grade and after the history lesson and showing us the kitchen they gave us water burger lol. 2 strips and fries
