I am a retired blue from Colorado. I always enjoyed working with Fire/Rescue. You have my respect. I retired in Austin downtown in a high rise on the 11th floor. Across the st. is a new fire station. I sit at my kitchen window and watch them get up every morning. Stay safe. 2 months ago we had a fire in one of our penthouses which set off the sprinkler system. My apt. got the worst of it.
Grew up in the valley, and have family that works with Peirce Fire and Rescue. You guys are the real vips, not these over paid actors and sports stars. Keep it up.
curious what happens if you dont have enough room to lower your ladder rack? like if there are vehicles parked beside you or some other object ? Can you reduce the angle of the rack? Also, all that apparatus.. How many personnel assigned to the station?
One of the cons of mechanical ladder racks, in a pinch hope that someone on the crew is tall enough to remove it from half way position or just remove it on top of the truck and beam lower to the ground. It’s also the engineer job to spot the apparatus appropriately for success.
