Eamonn, another great video! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and thanks for sharing the video of the pergon and while back, it works like a charm here in New Mexico, USA!!
Great catch lads looks like a great spot for a peaceful day fly fishing I got my fly fishing stuff ready to go out and an hour later we got a weather forecast for bad winds and rain so hopefully tomorrow will be nice to get a few casts in and looking forward to your next video thanks for sharing big like from me🎣tight lines 🤝
Thanks for your kind words ,That's true, I find in most case's you can catch the rising trout with nymphs this time of year they would eat anything that passes them. Although there's nothing like watching them take dries 👌
Yea. Looks fantastic. Love the videos. The quality is excellent. Keep them coming. Hope to get out this weekend myself for the first wetting of the rod. Can't wait. Thanks again for the brilliant videos. Tight lines
Hi guys, very enjoyable as usual. question please can you buy a season ticket in the shop at knockbridge? or are you only allowed a day ticket, thank you.
Surely, if the fish are rising, you should be using a dry fly? 20 years ago, Euro Nymphing was called Czech nymphing. The joke was, it was practised by people who couldn’t cast! Even today, I see people who have only recently learned to “fly fish” catch plenty of fish whilst Euro nymphing. Yet, they haven’t got the skill to cover a rising fish with a dry fly. Which begs the question; is Euro nymphing really fly fishing? You have cracking looking water there. Tight lines
Hi Jim, this time of year the trout will take anything that goes past them this time of year, for the few fish that was rising we got more on nymphs , it is definitely possible for people who can't cast to catch fish on nymphs but those who can cast will definitely catch more with nymphs than anyone else on the river,I think it is flyfishing because you are imitating a fly in its early stage of life ,I do agree it takes alot of practice and skill to use the dryfly, I think each method falls under the umbrella of flyfishing, yes this river is nice ,its worth a day ticket

Nice video lads but I think if there was a few fish rising I’d have to throw a dry at them, nothing like early season dry fly fishing 👍🏻
