Yep, it adds to the typical tasting dimensions (the appearance, the nose, the palate) a new dimension "the ear" ;-)
A wise choice of mic polar pattern when you're shooting in an indoor space prone to echo. Much warmer than a shotgun style mic.
This video is one of the greatest hidden gems of youtube. There's something just so pleasing about watching an older European gentleman enjoying the hell out of a high school/college drinking staple like Fireball. Besides that contextual note though, it's just a true pleasure watching a whisky reviews with no pretension or snobbery. Just pure wholesome enjoyment. 5 out of 5 stars!

Taxes are insane in Canada. It is actually cheaper to send it out of the country to have it bottled. My country is not an easy place to own a business.
I didn't know one could speak on Fireball in such a manner.
I get the feeling that this guy could crash a frat house party and start critiquing the liquor, and before an hour, the music would be gone and he would absolutely rule the room.

I don't know anything about whiskey I don't drink alcohol but I love listening to Horst talk and especially him swirling around the whiskey in his mouth. I guess it's an ASMR thing which I'm starting to think I have.

+Colin Malloy exactly ...it is cheap bottom shelf and all the bars sell as shots or it is great for a mixed drink...and college kids down gallons of it.I to have been to a few parties that ya pass the Fireball bottle around chuggin it until its gone...you can get huge jugs 1.75L for 20$ or huge 3.5L boxes for 39.99$...kegs of beer and fireball and you have a friday night here in the college town I live in
+tweevers2 Meanwhile in Sweden we have 1/2 liter bottles for 25$ and that's the only bottle available. If my math is correct, our Fireball costs approximately 5 times more per liter than yours if you calculate with the 3.5 liter boxes.
Alcohol tax is a bitch.
+ thats rough...yup here we have drive in and drive thru liquor stores...everything is pretty damn cheap...say you can pick up a somewhat alright bottle of Bourbon,a standard Knob Creek or Buffalo Trace for 24$ at Walmart then they tack on like a 2 or 3$ sales tax for it is all...i think here Fireball is considered more a liqueur and all liqueur sell for bottom shelf and slightly above that prices
Colin Malloy I still chug this thing from the bottle. I'm not showing off but this is the only thing that can make me drunk quick enough. Of course like I said 'not showing off', there's plenty of guys who can chug far more of this than I'm capable.

Crown Royal just came out with a limited edition Salted Caramel that is WONDERFUL!

Great review Horst. I recently found this and both my wife and I loves it. She even experimented making sangria with Fireball, the result was amazing.

Fireball goes best with a sweet cider in my experience. The apple/cinnamon combination is fun, it's quite a silly liqueur and I find embracing the silliness brings out the best in it. That's why it's a classic shot drink, just fun

Being fairly new to high proof drinks, I love how Fireball's flavor can just power through the taste of the alcohol.

Horst, just FYI "Red Hots" is a ubiquitous candy brand in the US and this liqueur tastes almost exactly like it. Due to this it's a favorite of college age people and young adults here.

This stuff is hardly whiskey. That being said, you give the best review of this out of any other professional whiskey taster I've ever seen. I love your accent, I can listen to you talk all day. It makes your videos all the more enjoyable :-)
That is because it's a whiskey liquor the most difference is that you take it as a shot but a real whiskey should be enjoyed

I tried this stuff at Dramfest in Christchurch, New Zealand. I remember an appallingly strong kick of artificial cinnamon flavouring and not much else. It was quite a contrast to the many fine single malts and bourbons I tried that day...

That "What the hell..." is the best part for sure haha. My own reaction as well when I hear its a product of Canada but bottled in Norway... I only heard bad things about Fireball, but the first time I tried it, it kinda tasted amazing to me. Not something I'd drink at home, but a shot in a bar at times why not.
I can't get over it being bottled in Norway. Nothing is bottled in Norway, nothing is made here. It's too expensive. So why the fuck was it bottled here? 😂 😂
