Whisky.com reviews the Black Bowmore. This is our 100th video! And to celebrate this Horst Luening opens a bottle of the Black Bowmore.
We don't want to tell too much about the bottle. Watch for yourself.
Nose:
Very aromatic, oak, toffee, exotic fruits, papaya, little alcohol, light cinnamon, very faint smoke, spice, dark fruits
Taste:
Mouthwatering, strong, dark chocolate, slight bitterness, over ripe mango, ginger, spice, very in the back smoke
Finish:
Long, creamy, warm

Thank you everybody
How does one afford to taste all these rare and expensive Riscky's or do they given from the distributor
@@edwinhoopes2753 ever heard of the concept of selling things? He owns an online Whisky Shop.
I have great admiration for you opening such a rare & expensive bottle with us on camera to let us experience it along with you. My deepest thanks Horst, you've been a great guide for me personally on my journey
Up to the 200!!!
Thanks for (virtually)sharing this exceptional whisky with us.
And not placing it in a vault only for selling it later at a higher price. It shows you appreciate whisky as the way it should be! Respect
Congratulations on your 100th video in English! Great choice to review!
Your voice is very relaxing.
I feel as though there is a near tangibility in the joy/pleasure of watching you drink this. I hope to one day be lucky enough to taste this.
12:06 "I had just one whisky today." Haha!
love your reviews and wish I was lucky enough to try this whisky...I really enjoy Bowmore and this being 42 years old is just amazing
Horst Bravo! Congratulations, I am totally impressed and will look you up if I ever visit your country!
Always lovely to see you giving us exclusive reviews! After 5 years of storing a bottle i finally opened it with a few friends (and a dog?) :P Keep up the awesome videoes! Drunk typing with a glenmo Signet atm.
would love to see a video of your whisky collection. Thanks for all the great reviews
Congrats on your 100th vid in English .. Really enjoy watching
I'm the 200th like. CONGRATS! What timing and luck!
Lovely review. I enjoyed it!
One in a lifetime whisky!
Enjoyed your video! Very well done.Thank you
Wonderful video good information well done keep it up
For such a once-in-a-lifetime whisky, I must say that Horst didn't seem very blown away by this legendary bottling. I know many people count this as their pinnacle/grail whisky (me included), so I guess I was just expecting a bit of a stronger reaction- I have seen him react more strongly to several much cheaper whiskies. I wonder how he'd react to the famous 1966 Bowmore Bouquet by Samaroli.
He didnt let it oxidize at all, old whiskies honestly truly need a lot of time in the glass. They go from nothing to unreal with time in the glass. Just tried a 40yr port askaig Bunnahabhain, let it sit for an hour nosing it along the way, it went from almost odorless to insanely fruity and aromatic in that time
Cause hes already done a german vid on it, there you can see the original reaction
What is the meaning of life? .... 42
lol
Bit strong ? Put a couple of ice cubes in there Horst
@A Wyatt Woman I'll get me coat
Love your work!
I wonder if Ralfy has tried this
Tell me Horst, or anyone for that matter, did Bowmore put E150a in the Black Bowmore like they do with all of their other releases??
Life is good
you are fortunate to enjoy this great whiskey
Atif Aziz ..whisky
@@peterhamilton2695 he's German so hence the lack of the E. English, it is whiskey
Christoffer Enfors wrong. Google the difference before u open ur mouth and poison our minds with false knowledge
Just saw this review today. Just wanted to ask.. do you still have this in your collection? after 10years?🎉
das wäre ein Highlight den zu probieren.
Imagine working on one product somebody started 40 odd years ago there must be like 3 generations in that bottle
Funning thing is, it would've felt like another day of work for that bloke LOL!! He would've had no idea he was filling up what would soon become a legendary bottling.
he definitely has a climax at 14:36 LMAO
The mother load
Is there a whisky bar anywhere in the world that serves this stuff? I would love to taste a dram.
Do you have 1000euros to spend? Then yes, a couple has these extremely exclusive whiskey's.
14:36
how much would this cost? i never see prices.
+don mon OVER 14,000 DOLLARS FOR THAT BOTTLE
+Tony Melendez i thought i saw "1400"..i was gonna say "yikes"... now that i see it's really 14,000... I'm gonna say "yikes.. times 10!!"
They are up to 42,000$ a bottle
2021 around $25000
One thing you didn't mention, the price. I'm really interested in how much such a bottle costs please?
There's a bottle on Amazon £19995!
Remember it's whiskey not mouthwash. Sloshing it in you're mouth isn't necessary to pick up the flavors..
why other old whiskies arent this black?
@Valdis4418 rewatched & still no answer
@Valdis4418 other oloroso cask matured whiskies from that year from other distilleries isnt that dark
he always says fruitiness
That one dram probably cost around 100 EUR.
drpapa26 closer to 750-1000$ a dram. Each bottle goes for 20K USD.
