I’ve had the older version of this since 2019. You didn’t mention what looks to me like the biggest improvement - the two additional uprights right behind the shroud that are supporting the machine on the front side of the weight stack. The old version amazingly had no support on the front of the stack, other than the shroud itself which is quite flimsy in comparison. As you might imagine the machine as a whole was much less stable and swayed a lot in use. So much so that after I set it up and used it once I immediately figured out a way to make a bracket and bolt it to my basement wall. It’s been rock solid since then but I always mention this whenever anyone asks me about the tower. Glad to see they finally came to their senses and fixed this design flaw. This new version looks just as stable as mine but without needing the wall mount.
Also mine is 82” so sounds like this is a couple inches higher which is also good. I have a few attachments where I need to lean back slightly to avoid bottoming out the stack.
Hey, Tim! Good to hear you were able to modify the old design. I tried to touch on the redesign by saying each piece interlocks with the next for added stability, but I definitely should have gone into more detail about the posts behind the shroud.
Thanks so much. This is a competitive category, but I think Powertec holds their own…especially with the updated features. Hopefully, this review helps to spread the word. Also, after I review a piece of equipment, I continue to show it in action over the course of months and, for some equipment, even years; so everyone can see how well it holds up. Thanks again. Nice! I am very excited to see where Powertec is heading. They were pretty stagnant for a while, but it seems that they are more active as of late. On a side note, I like that gold anodized pin’s look 1000x as much as their traditional tonka truck yellow. Great review HGHR!

@@HomeGymHacksandReviewsoh, I will. Already have the powertec multipress with leg and curl attachments and I love it. Powertec don't save on protection and everything came out of the box without a single scratch, and for me it was a sign, straight out of the box, how much they care about their customers. And obviously the multipress is amazing. Really love powertec products, too bad they don't have a cable machine with a smith like other brands.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I just uploaded a video of my DIY high and low cable fly on my low cost rack, if you want to check it out and tell me what you think, I would greatly appreciate 😁
Against my better judgement, after watching this video, I ordered one. I currently have one of the older roller smiths with the lat attachment. As I'm getting older, I use the smith less and less. Figure I can sell that combo for at least what I paid for this. Also ordered the new version of the leg sled to replace my original version. It still works great, but I like the updates they've made enough to upgrade it. Thanks for the great videos!
@@HomeGymHacksandReviewsBoth are in and built. The LAT machine came with some damage to the lat bar holder hooks, but I bent it back in place and used the included touch up paint. No issues at all with the leg sled. I do have to ask, since you also have the weight stack - how do you get the pin to stay at the right height and facing the right direction when switching weights? I pull the pin in and seems to move out of place each time.
@@tribaltek I want to make sure I understand correctly: the selectorized pin for the Pulldown plate stack? It is magnetized, so it should stay in place. The spike that runs through the stack can be adjusted…loosen the nut and either tighten the spike or loosen the spike, then tighten the nut back to adjust the spike / cable.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I was referring to the spike that runs through the plate stack. I've adjusted quite a bit already with no real luck. Maybe the cable has to "settle" for a while before it figures out its preferred orientation? I'll try adjusting again later this week.
@@tribaltek it should be automatic…no settling needed. Also try putting the pin through one of the plates and into the spike and make the adjustment from there. Before I tightened everything into place, I made sure the pin went into every plate. If that doesn’t fix it, you may need to double check cable installation.
I searched lat pulls for fucking ages before finally buying the bells of steel like a few days ago. Now im suddenly seeing all these other options i never noticed before like this powertec
How does the low pull feel? Quite a few machines out there have reviews that the low pull is too low. I’m hoping that isn’t the case for this machine because I really like the 1:1 ratio, and the plate loaded AND weight stack option.
I like the low pulley placement. On machines where the low pulley is higher, for whatever reason, it aggravates my back. With that being said, I mainly perform chest supported rows and those work great on this machine.
I’ve been kinda sidetracked, so I haven’t assembled it yet. I’m also waiting on delivery of the Freak Athlete Nordic Hyper. It looks really interesting & versatile.
You said you’d pick the multipress and this machine over the levergym. What else would you add to this for a powertec only gym? Love the content and the realistic home gym approach
Thanks so much! The Compact Leg Sled for lower body. I really like the Powertec Leg Press, in fact, I think it’s the best home gym leg press on the market (I’ve had 2 of them), but I find the Compact Leg Sled more lower back friendly.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thanks so much! Just got the Compact Leg Sled put together … and the Lat Machine is on the way. Thanks for the in-depth videos!!
The built in weight horns for the selectorized version is very nice. I also like the idea of the seat that swivels away. Is this machine less deep than the Titan or Bells? It looks like it, but it’s hard to tell for sure.
Agreed; great features. According to their respective websites, the Powertec is 3” longer than the Titan and 10” shorter than the Bells. I think the Bells and Titan look nearly identical so I find it hard to believe the Titan is more than a foot shorter.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews had my first session using the new PT tower, very impressed with it, feel rock solid in use, no wobble etc, glad I went for the weight stack add-on, also picked up a PT leg sled 2019 version from marketplace for 450 in as new conditions.
@@williamaustin6132 thanks so much for the update and I’m glad you’re happy with it. It’s a great machine and I agree, the weight stack add on is worth the extra money.
Hi, Thanks for the review. Did you ever use or did a review for the Powertec Lat attachment for their bench? I was not able to find the video if you did. Thanks
Great review. I was looking at this recently. I really like the option of the lat pulldown with the half rack for the efficient use of space, but that lat pulldown lacks some of the features of the separate option for not much less $.
Thank you, Brian. The Pulldown and Half Rack is a great combo. It really adds a lot of stability to the rack too. I would like to see longer spotter arms, but I understand the reasoning for the length. With the stand-alone I also appreciate how close I can get it to wall and how tight of a space I can fit it in by having the selectorized stack. This took the place of the Nautilus Torso Arm (I gave it to my dad) and I like this much, much better.
Sound is smooth…no clanking like the rogue lat stack. * How is the previous version with clanging noises and operation (Looking at getting the power rack with lat attached) thanks, brother 😊
Thanks so much. I’m not sure about the previous version of this Lat Machine, but over the last 15 years, I had 4 of the Powertec Lat Towers that connect to the Power Rack. I liked it enough to buy it 4 times 😀(whenever I move, I sell my equipment to make the move easier and then upgrade to the newest model). I have an older review for the Lat Tower I had connected to the Powertec Smith Machine. I can’t remember if I use the lat machine in real time in that review, but if I don’t, I have my HIT training series videos where I use it and you will hear how it sounds.
@@pathtooptimalhealth absolutely. Similar but not the same. If I remember correctly, the rack-connected lat tower is slightly shorter. When the Lat Tower is attached to a Power Rack, 1/2 Rack, or Smith, it is incredibly solid.
Great review. Minor nitpick; Powertec could have included a revolving lat bar. I think manufacturers will make high pulleys slightly taller in future, because people are using attachments like Gympin bars.
Thank you for another great review video! This time I found your affiliate link and placed my order for this lat machine a few minutes ago. Regarding the weight stack option (which I did order also), with my 9-foot ceiling, should I go the route of installing the guide rods first and then dropping each weight plate into place? Not sure 9 feet would be enough to stack the plates first before installing the guide rods. Thanks
@@funshop1 thank you. I really appreciate that. Just to be on the safe side, I would drop each plate down the guide rods rather than trying to slide the guide rods down the stacked plates. Please reach out if you have any questions during assembly.
Great video as always! I had to remove the Powertec faceplate on the functional trainer because it’s too narrow to fit my hand to grab the selector pin. I also didn’t like that it’s pushed out far so it’s difficult changing weight when you’re changing at an angle quickly. Since downsizing, are you going to put the funds towards a mini split or other heating? Winter is coming.
I know what you’re saying, about the Functional Trainer, especially closer to the top of the stack. I’m glad to see Powertec made this improvement with this model. I have someone coming out to give me a quote for a split system…it’s unfortunately taking longer than expected for our schedules to match up.
Just bought the lat tower and rack combo based on your reviews, and all your help answering questions during my research period . Have a question 1: the rod that is in the middle doesn’t point straight up and down but is kinda touching plates before going down 2: the connecting wire that you screw into the top plate - how far to screw it in I tried going all the way but before I did it started clicking and the top plate raised so I unscrewed it a bit just so the top plate rest naturally on the stack I would have used a promo code to help you out, but I live in Hungary May talk about it on my channel, if so I’ll give you a shout out and tag Powertec to let them know. …the instructions (horrible)😞 Thanks
@@pathtooptimalhealth thanks so much. It sounds like the top bolt needs to be adjusted a little if the post is hitting the plates. I just turn it until I feel like enough of the bolt is threaded into the carriage. If the rubber stopper balls are too snug against the pulley wheels, I loosen the bolt and if the cable is too loose, I tighten it a bit.
I was stuck between this and the lat tower option several weeks ago. I just got the PowerTech half rack and have limited space so I went with the lat tower option. I wpuld have chosen this one if I had more space. Haha! I'm guessing you watch the Golden Bachelor too? Same here
Luckily, you can’t go wrong with the Lat Tower Option. Of the 4 I had over the last 15 years, 2 were on Power Racks and 2 were on Roller Smiths. They got used all the time and they never let me down. lol! I might be in the room while my wife is watching it 🤓
Great video! I’ve just set mine up (with the 190lb stack) and the selector rod doesn’t sit flush on the top on the stack. It’s almost like the upper cable isn’t long enough.. don’t suppose you have any ideas where to look? Thanks!
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews appreciate the quick response! Is there somewhere I can send a picture to so you can see what’s happening? Also, which bolt specifically do you think I need to loosen? Thanks very much!
@@robertkarran8571 glad to help. There is a bolt that goes through the carriage, I believe a pulley is attached to the bolt. Then there is a nut that you can loosen or tighten to further secure the bolt that runs through the carriage. It sounds like that is the area you need to adjust.
Ah yeah, so that bolt doesn’t full stretch to be able to fit into the weight stack. And if I do fit it into the weight stack, the weight horn sits one selector higher than the stack, meaning I cant choose the 200lb plate at the bottom. Do you have an email I could send pictures too? Thanks
Nice review, thank you. Have you already tried to do belt squats on the low pulley. I am on the fence to get the lat machine in addition to my Levergym because I don't like the resistance curve for pulldowns on the levergym. However, if I could perform belt squats on the lat machine it would make the choice so much easier.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thank you. I am currently using a loading pin and reebok steps. The lat machine is on backorder in Europe so I’ll order one once it‘s available again.
@@Rodgauer-ho5ko I’m presently using a loading pin for belt squats too; I really like the exercise (I made a recent video of my present DIY Belt Squat). I hope you like the Lat Machine as much as I do. It’s one of my favorite Powertec pieces.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I know. You are the reason why I got a levergym in the first place a couple of months again. I‘ve also seen your video on the belt squat but couldn‘t get my hands on these plyoboxes. The steps work well too.
@@Rodgauer-ho5ko good to hear your steps are working well for the belt squat set up. Thanks so much. As for the Levergym’s cable resistance profile, I have to admit I like it…the resistance drops off just ever so slightly at full contraction. With that said, I still like the Lat Machine better for cable work.
What is the length from the back of the machine to the very front of the contour tubing where the low row feet attach? Trying to figure out the minimum length of the machine with the seat swiveled to the side. The Diamond metal floor plate really add to the length as it is flat.
How does this compare to the Ironmaster portable cable tower - or the IM2000 machine with its built in cable pulley system? Is it a better quality system with smoother motion and more flexibly for additional exercises? Appreciate you candid feedback between this pulldown machine and Ironmaster’s cable options.
I’m not sure it’s entirely fair to compare this against either of those options because one is an attachment and one is a high / low pulley connected to a Smith Machine. Luckily, all 3 are smooth, but the Powertec is much more convenient, smaller footprint, and the features are more high-end. My favorite of the 3 is the Powertec.
That’s fair, appreciate your candid feedback. I was considering the IM2000 and really like this powertec lat pulldown. Perhaps the right long-term answer is to get both! :). Thanks again!
This machine looks badass and the price is amazing. I'm thinking about this or the titan pull down machine. My moneys on powertec rn seems like a much better engineered machine. Especially how the seat moves!
I’ve been very happy with it so far. I’ve only found the cable to rub when doing standing face pulls, but that can be fixed simply by kneeling down. Like you said, the seat swiveling out of the way gives the cable a vertical line of drive for Tricep Push Downs and Curls…which makes this machine pretty unique.
I'm looking forward to you rebuilding your gym. Hoping you get more Fettle Fitness gear to see if they actually hold high value along a long line of gear.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I unfortunately need to get knee surgery and need to plan my long-term rehab and post rehab strength protocol. Plus old age. So I'm thinking of going to a leverage leg press machine for rehab and long-term safety use. Fettle Fitness seems a good possible solution for that. I have a space issue as well.
@@richardschank5568 I wish you well. My wife recently had two back-to-back surgeries in less than a year for her hip and later her knee…so I know the work you’ll be putting in to get back in action.
I don’t think so, but if I do, and come up with something decent, I’ll be sure to share it in a Short. Lately, I have been doing all of my belt squats like I show in the video before this one.
I bought this one after your review. Some points that were not in your review but seem important to bring out: Powertec confirmed that they DO NOT include the Allen key that is 100% needed in order to remove the bolt on the weight horn bar to allow attaching it to the weight stack. Not sure how they can charge $400 for that option and leave out a simple wrench! They include them with the basic hardware all the time! Also, the rollers that should keep you in place while using the machine will roll very easily. So, with each rep I get closer to the machine. After 5 reps my knees are against the metal cover. Never used a machine that had this flaw.
@@funshop1 I can’t remember if I addressed the Allen Key in my old Powertec Streamline Functional Trainer review. When I assembled the functional trainer with the plate stack (my first Powertec selectorized stack) I didn’t have the Allen Key and used a vice grip and that worked well. I didn’t leave out that detail intentionally, I’ve just accumulated so many Allen Wrenches over the years, I had one that fit it. However, I agree, a wrench should be included. As for the rollers, that is not an issue that stands out to me. I can’t remember ever using the machine and thinking the rollers don’t keep me in place; they do roll, but they don’t roll me out of position. I’ve had mine for about 10 months now and I like it as much, if not more, as the day I got it. Would you say you’re unhappy with your purchase?
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I’m not too happy with my purchase, but will find a way to solve the roller problem. Having the weight stack is really nice. Do you add lubricant to the guide rods on your machine? I did to my prior one from Titan.
@@funshop1 I am sorry to hear that. I want everyone to be happy if I recommend a machine. I personally like that the rollers roll because It helps me get locked into position; I roll myself close to the machine before my first rep. I am pretty sure some commercial Lat Pulldowns are the same. Please keep me updated. I hope you find that sweet spot to love the machine as much as I do.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews thanks. You did not mention anything regarding my question about the lubricating of the guide rods. Do you recommend that they be lubricated?
@@funshop1 sorry I missed that. Maybe once a year I’ll spray the guide rods on all my equipment with dry silicone spray, but I think all of my equipment operates smoothly as is.
Hey man would you be able to measure the height of the low cable (where the ball and eyelet rest on the machine) and the width of the low row foot posts for me? 🙏
Is this the new P-LM23 model? My local dealer is telling me that they are only receiving the P-LM20 model from Powertec and the 23 hasn't been released yet. Even the Powertec website is saying the latest/current model is the P-LM20 model with the die cut logo and angled stainless weight horns. Do you have any info on this? My biggest concern is receiving an older unit that doesn't have the new vertical bracing posts for the upper arm. Any info would be greatly appreciated before I order. Thanks for all the great content, man!!!
Thanks so much. This is LM23 and it’s the one Powertec is presently selling on their website. The pictures on Powertec’s webpage show the new adjustment knobs and just under the slideshow it shows, P-LM23. It has the 2 additional posts behind the shroud for increased stability.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thank you so much for the quick reply! I'm minutes away from ordering this. Lol... I guess the confusion is the Powertec website is calling it P-LM23 in one spot and then the (P-LM20) down in the description adding confusion.
I don’t know the measurement of the old top tube, but it may look shorter because there are two additional uprights behind the shroud. This definitely adds to the stability of the machine and fixes the issue some people experienced with older models.
Not that I know of. Are you hoping for a prone leg curl or seated leg curl machine? I’m very happy with the attachment…in fact, I think it’s the best in the leg ext / curl attachment category (when it’s connected to the Levergym, Smith, or Rack).
I just wondered if Powertec might come out with a leg curl/extension like Titan has and be competitively priced. I'm waiting to see one on sale. We love our Powertec compact leg press by the way.@@HomeGymHacksandReviews
If you’re using a traditional lat bar, I think you’d be okay. But if you’re trying to use attachments that hang low like the Prime RO-T8 handles, you will not be able to get a full range of motion. I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I mention the distance between the seat and pulley, that measurement may be helpful in determining if this will be a good fit for you.
@@sasdf2215 I would take the Powertec over the Ironmaster. The Powertec Lat Machine has a higher weight capacity and it can be backed against the wall; whereas, if the Ironmaster is backed against the wall, only one side of the machine can be used. However, if I had to move it around, the Ironmaster would be a better option because it has wheels.
I don’t think it’s a fair comparison because the Ironmaster piece is an attachment and the Powertec is a stand-alone machine. Both are smooth, but Powertec has a higher weight capacity, I believe a higher attachment point, more stable, and the option to add a selectorized stack.
@@NisAznMonk I like what Kaizen does. He’s a good guy and we’ve always supported one another. Another option to consider is my DIY Belt Squat, which I just posted a video for. It may not offer as much stability as Kaizen’s, but it’s always worked well for me.

Hey Bobby! lol! I could write a book about this, but I’ll try to be brief. I am a pretty loyal person and when I find something I like and something that works, I stick with it. I got my first Powertec Power Rack and Multipress over 15 years ago and immediately fell in love with the brand. I’ve had equipment in my gym from BodyMasters to Rogue, to Titan and I’ve worked in multiple commercial gyms. I think for the price, Powertec’s quality holds its own. @@balboa0621 I like the lower pulley / foot post design. The seat swivels over that area without issue and the design gives it a smaller footprint when compared to some of the other lat pulldown machines I’ve seen. I'm interested in the powertec one because the stack isn't 300 pounds but with the weight horns, I can get into the low two hundreds. I do like the way the seat swivels, too, so the unit takes up a lot less space than other options. I'm just iffy about that foot bar...
@@balboa0621 thanks so much.

The Bells is nice, but I like Powertec’s features better.
hello
can you please elaborate why you prefer Powertec vs BoS besides the price, please? @@HomeGymHacksandReviews
Ha, we crazy home gym guys must think alike. I just bought the same model (without the stack) around the same time you did. Thanks for the review.

Hi, Thanks for the review. Did you ever use or did a review for the Powertec Lat attachment for their bench? I was not able to find the video if you did. Thanks
No…that is the only Workbench attachment I haven’t reviewed.
* How is the previous version with clanging noises and operation
(Looking at getting the power rack with lat attached) thanks, brother 😊
Thanks so much. I’m not sure about the previous version of this Lat Machine, but over the last 15 years, I had 4 of the Powertec Lat Towers that connect to the Power Rack. I liked it enough to buy it 4 times 😀(whenever I move, I sell my equipment to make the move easier and then upgrade to the newest model).
I have an older review for the Lat Tower I had connected to the Powertec Smith Machine. I can’t remember if I use the lat machine in real time in that review, but if I don’t, I have my HIT training series videos where I use it and you will hear how it sounds.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews are they not the same in build? Thanks, btw
Thank you! A revolving lat bar would have been a solid addition.
Nice video as usual. Can you tell me the weight of the "Weight Horns" alone. I am guessing around 10 lbs?
@@johnsfamilychannel6454 thank you. That is correct.
Just bought the lat tower and rack combo based on your reviews,
and all your help answering questions during my research period .
Have a question
1: the rod that is in the middle doesn’t point straight up and down but is kinda touching plates before going down
2: the connecting wire that you screw into the top plate - how far to screw it in
I tried going all the way but before I did it started clicking and the top plate raised so I unscrewed it a bit just so the top plate rest naturally on the stack
I would have used a promo code to help you out,
but I live in Hungary
May talk about it on my channel, if so I’ll give you a shout out and tag Powertec to let them know.
…the instructions (horrible)😞
Thanks
@@pathtooptimalhealth thanks so much. It sounds like the top bolt needs to be adjusted a little if the post is hitting the plates.
I just turn it until I feel like enough of the bolt is threaded into the carriage. If the rubber stopper balls are too snug against the pulley wheels, I loosen the bolt and if the cable is too loose, I tighten it a bit.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews you’re awesome - will try. Thanks

Very happy to add it to the gym.
Can this machine have the weight horns and the stack move at same time? So you can get more weight moving once the stack has maxed out?
@@tonygillespie6907 yes, for a 500 pound max weight capacity.
How difficult do you find the max pin loaded capacity for lat pull downs personally?
@@tonygillespie6907 I have not maxed out the stack for any exercise…150-170 is the heaviest I’ve gone.

Thank you. It sounds like you need to adjust the bolt just above the stack. If you tighten it too much, the cable becomes too tight.

Thank you. I have not tried Belt Squats, but I have seen others perform that exercise by creating a platform.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thank you. I am currently using a loading pin and reebok steps. The lat machine is on backorder in Europe so I’ll order one once it‘s available again.

As for the Levergym’s cable resistance profile, I have to admit I like it…the resistance drops off just ever so slightly at full contraction. With that said, I still like the Lat Machine better for cable work.
Hi there , plate loaded mean you provide your ow weights ? thank you
Yes. The machine can be loaded with your own plates or the selectorized stack can be purchased as an add on.
How do you think this machine stacks up against the Titan lat pulldown? Another gem of a review!
Thank you! The selectorized or the plate loaded?
Plate loaded
What is the length from the back of the machine to the very front of the contour tubing where the low row feet attach? Trying to figure out the minimum length of the machine with the seat swiveled to the side. The Diamond metal floor plate really add to the length as it is flat.
I just measured to double check - 48” without the seat and 55” with the seat.
@@dhsemp glad to help. lol…when in doubt.

@@jimclarke4390 thank you. With a regular lat bar, it should. With something like the Prime RO-T8 Handles that hang really low, no.

I personally like that the rollers roll because
It helps me get locked into position; I roll myself close to the machine before my first rep.

Thanks so much. This is LM23 and it’s the one Powertec is presently selling on their website. The pictures on Powertec’s webpage show the new adjustment knobs and just under the slideshow it shows, P-LM23. It has the 2 additional posts behind the shroud for increased stability.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thank you so much for the quick reply! I'm minutes away from ordering this. Lol... I guess the confusion is the Powertec website is calling it P-LM23 in one spot and then the (P-LM20) down in the description adding confusion.
@@907AKOFT LM23 is definitely the one Powertec is shipping (I guess someone just forgot to update that section of the webpage).
it looks like they shortened that top pulley arm a little which i had seen in a couple other reviews could bend with heavier loads.
I don’t know the measurement of the old top tube, but it may look shorter because there are two additional uprights behind the shroud. This definitely adds to the stability of the machine and fixes the issue some people experienced with older models.
If you buy the plate loaded option can you upgrade to a weight stack later?
Absolutely. However, if you buy them both together, it saves you $100 and you won’t need to disassemble the machine.
Thank you!!@@HomeGymHacksandReviews
Is the shroud essential to the machines stability? Or is it more of a cosmetic feature?
It’s a cosmetic feature. However, if it’s not installed, the holes where it gets screwed aren’t black so they would stand out.
Still waiting to see if Powertec comes out with a stand-alone leg curl/extension unit instead of just their accessory unit. Any rumors?
Not that I know of. Are you hoping for a prone leg curl or seated leg curl machine? I’m very happy with the attachment…in fact, I think it’s the best in the leg ext / curl attachment category (when it’s connected to the Levergym, Smith, or Rack).

@@rogershinton7483 that is awesome to hear! Thanks so much!
Would you recomend this to someone who is 6 ft 5 inch tall. I was thinking about getting one?
If you’re using a traditional lat bar, I think you’d be okay. But if you’re trying to use attachments that hang low like the Prime RO-T8 handles, you will not be able to get a full range of motion. I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I mention the distance between the seat and pulley, that measurement may be helpful in determining if this will be a good fit for you.
Cool thank you.
Would you put this or the ironmaster in a studio apartment? (Rented)
How does it compare to the ironmaster tower?
I don’t think it’s a fair comparison because the Ironmaster piece is an attachment and the Powertec is a stand-alone machine. Both are smooth, but Powertec has a higher weight capacity, I believe a higher attachment point, more stable, and the option to add a selectorized stack.

The low row foot brace is a big miss. Just put a foot plate!
@@balboa0621 I like the lower pulley / foot post design. The seat swivels over that area without issue and the design gives it a smaller footprint when compared to some of the other lat pulldown machines I’ve seen.
