    It's not the Sharon Tate house. Not even close. It is a movie house. But I love the movie.

    It's sad seeing apart of history being removed but not forgotten

    Its funny how the house and property really look nothing like the real thing. And in real life the property was a lot more secluded. The gate on this property appears to be very close to what seems like a fairly main road. The real Cielo house required driving up a very long narrow road from the main road. That road is still there but has more neighbors than Sharon and Roman had back then.

      On it now stands a huge mansion occupied by producer of Full House, Jeff Franklin. The real house at the end of Cielo drive was situated on a hill at Benedict Canyon, overlooking Los Angeles.

      tbf the real house has been demolished and this road is slightly similar, enough for the audience to get the impression of cielo drive

      @@angienoexiste I’m well aware the original Tate house (actually Altobelli house) was torn down years ago. My comment is comparing that original house where the crimes occurred versus the property and house used in the movie. Yes the one used in the movie is suitable for the purpose of the plot. I was simply pointing out the significant difference, and that the movie version doesn’t quite show how isolated the original house was.

      And if they did that, without any real neighbors, there's no end to the movie, which is intended as historical fantasy not documentary-like recreation.

      @EastSide-qc5oy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@justinmj6586 I’m not saying they should have been more accurate. I was just commenting on how I find the difference interesting. That said, in real life they actually did have neighbors, homes the Manson crew had to drive/walk past in order to get to the property and back, similar to Rick Dalton’s house in the movie. Neighbors were reported to have heard gunshots, and there were reports of excessive dog barking, and the sound of voices yelling for help.

    To the complainers:
    It's makes no budgetary sense to totally re-create the Tate house for the 4 ppl who care that much.
    It makes no plot sense to this particular movie to have the house as isolated as the actual Tate house. The movie depends heavily on Tate and DiCaprio being reasonably seen adjacent neighbors.

    This isn't Sharon Tate's house. Her house was torn down in 1993 and it's at the end of Cielo Drive. This is just the nothing/random house that Tarantino used for that movie about her. It's also in some video game, too. But this is NOT Sharon Tate/Roman Polanski's home where she, Jay Sebring, Voytek Frykowski and Abigail Folger were murdered. Waste of time.

      It’s a real movie inspired by true events, retold within a fictional narrative and outcome. Also, it’s a very real neighborhood in Los Angeles. Studio City in the Valley to be more exact.
