As a child, while reading the Indian history in school, I was always very fascinated by the Indian history. I truly at that point wished to be an archeologer, just to know more about India, and our history. At that I didn't have much knowledge about Mahabharata or Ramayan, it was only in the form of some TV Serials or some extracts I read in some text. But even still I used to connect or rather tried to connect this with Mahabharata or Ramayan. I am so grateful to have watched this episode. So grateful to have been listening to Dr. Vineet Aggarwal for a while now, and in knowing that today somewhere, some child may find a direction, if not answers to their quest of India. And it will be thanks to people like you, who have put their lives towards actually trying to know and embrace India. As a child in convent schools I have always had a deep fascination towards the western themes, but truly slow and steady so much has changed because of guys like you and so many others. Hopefully one day I will be going to all these places, feeling a bit more proud and happy about our culture. Truly truly grateful! ❤

Buddha is title for enlightenment and no religion called Buddhism started by sakya Prince Siddharth. Rather Buddhists literature itself mentions Jain tirthankar names .

18:20 maski inscription of asōka confirms that devanampiyadasi is asōka himself.
39:30 one more correction : bimbisara and ajatsātru were from haryanka dynasty not shishunaga/sunga.

"asōka confirms that devanampiyadasi is asōka" well does it say Ashokavardhan or Ashokaditya ?
" bimbisara and ajatsātru were from haryanka dynasty not shishunaga/sunga." no, actually for this Vishnu Puran Skand 4 chapter 24/25 , Matsya Puran Chapter 271-273 , Bhagvat Puran Skand 12 chapter 1 clearly states them as Shishunagas

Fun Fact: The rock edict in Karnataka mentioned Ashoka with Devanaampeya

It's a minor edict and scholars had view that this might be of other king . ALSO even if i accept that then also it doesn't specify which Ashok like Ashokavardhan or Ashokaditya ?

Nice video sir. It was my guess that buddha should be in the perio af around 1500 bce and according to you too . The way arab or greek pronunced our names it seems we have to identify those words. Like sandra = chandra or samudra
