This is the reason meiteis have been asking to remove Assam Riffles. Once one old lady too have cried and said in a video that the Assam Riffle fired on them while working on the field. If they are doing this then better go to other side and attack from front, this is what that old lady cried and said. They don't feel safe when they guard them. This is the reason meiteis have been asking to remove Assam Riffles. Once one old lady too have cried and said in a video that the Assam Riffle fired on them while working on the field. If they are doing this then better go to other side and attack from front, this is what that old lady cried and said. They don't feel safe when they guard them. Even though the kukis fired the villagers the AR never intervene, instead they tell the meitei villagers to leave the place and run.

His son went to attack a Kuki village. The Assam Rifles outpost was set up as a buffer zone. As his son's party resorted to firing the Kuki village, the Assam Rifles had to return fire. That's how he died. Had he been in his home, he wouldn't have died.
If the kuki militants didn't come down and start firing to the meitei villages, this incident would not have happened.
