I'm seriously surprised that with the huge power users, pure power with medicham wasn't mentioned. That mon would be insanely bad without pure power and it isn't even doing that well rn. Ik it got a mention at the end but I feel like it just got shoved to the side when honestly it just falls into the same category.
Mega Sableye with Magic Bounce, Clefable with Magic Guard, Garganacl with Purifying Salt, Gliscor with Poison Heal, Moltres with Flame Body, Shedinja with Wonder Guard, Blaziken with Speed Boost, Arctozolt with Slush Rush, Baraskewda with Swift Swim, and Dugtrio with Arena Trap (Gen 3)
baraskewda, garg, moltres, gliscor, clefable are good even without their ability. sure, they do help a lot, but bara is good without rain since it’s faster then most mons even without it, garg walls everything with salt cure anyways, moltres‘s flame body is a nice benefit, but the resistances are what makes it good (runs will-o-wisp regardless), clef was good, before abilities were a thing and gliscor was ou before poison heal
I feel like Huge Power is a lazy and wasted ability. They could have just given Azumarill a high attack stat and an actual ability instead. The Pokemon I can think of that is carried by its ability is Shedinja, I mean imagine not having Wonder Guard
You forgot one thing about Impostor Ditto in VGC, it can copy another trainer's Restricted mon(Calyrex-Shadow,etc.) when timed right, making your team have 2-3 Restricteds instead of the usual 1-2, but takes a lot of skill to manage such a feat.
Mimikyu and Eiscue (disguise/ice face), Blaziken and other speed boost users, Shedinja and wonder skin, Incineroar and other intimidate users, Nidoking/Nidoqueen and othet sheer force users, Dugtrio and Gothitele for arean trap and shadow tag
While Intimidate was what made Incineroar viable to begin with, I think it would see play (albeit not nearly as much) even without it, after the moveset buffs it got in Gens 8 & 9 (namely Parting Shot).
How dare you disrespect the terrain setters, weather setters and royal snake. Seriously I hate fighting Serperior. It takes one misplay to get sweeped. Indeedee is just crazy but manageable. Alohan Nine tails is just annoying I love Rillaboom, my starter in SS and on two of my teams.
As someone who has used both Azumarill and Serperior without these abilities, I can definitely say that I agree with Azumarill but not with Serperior. Serperior's main saving grace is Coil, basically a better Bulk Up, which can allow it to contend with Physical Flying types like Staraptor and Honchkrow. Scope Lens + Leaf Blade helps in a lot of playthroughs. What's funny is that Coil is a detriment if you have a Contrary Serperior.

Moltres only became viable once Heavy-Duty Boots were introduced
